Final Send Off
It was a wonderful evening and everything went off perfectly from the parade to the many performers in their celebratory outfits. There were thousands of guests and each stall was reported to have made more money than estimated. This was a perfect example of the amazing talent Spica and Ouran have when they put their minds together!
Each bamboo tree was decorated wonderfully! The folded pieces of paper were tied to the tree and all around it were decorations of paper cranes and various other ornaments and origami. All the talent was displayed in these wishing trees, it was sad that now that the festival was coming to an end, all of it was meant to be burned. The fireworks were slowing down and employees were gathering around different bamboo trees to carry to the water. Lying just on the surface were small wooden rafts to carry each tree out further. There was only one thing left to do and that was to light it all up.
May the wishes reach the night sky and drift to the stars above.

That's it turtleducks for AUStars. This post means the event has finally closed and there can be no further starters made following this. Any threads that have been ongoing are free to continue but again, if someone has made a starter and it has not been replied to, now is too late. Only those who have had responses made can keep this up. It was wonderful to see all the participation for this event and we hope you all had a lot of fun!
Reunion Under the Stars // Owain and Lissa
'Wow, just look at all of this!'
Lissa stared around her,her face a mixture of joyous wonder. There'd always been festivals in Ylisse, but the sheer scale of this one dwarfed them completely. Not even the biggest festival, the one giving Naga thanks for a good harvest, could have been this big. There was so much noise and activity, it almost reminded Lissa of the time she and the rest of the Shepherds had gone to the hot spring and the insanity that had entailed!
Clutching a slip of paper tightly in her hand, the young princess carefully made her way through the crowded Rikugien Gardens, being mindful og the young children running around. She couldn't help but smile at their antics, remembering happier times with Chrom and Emmeryn; she and her brother playing in the vast castle grounds, always under the watchful eye of their sister or Frederick. 'I wish Chrom and Emm were here to see this....Emm would love it. I wish everyone was here to see this..."
The memories and thoughts sent a slight pang to heart, but she brushed it way. After yesterday and the heartwrenching affair of think she'd heard Owain near her, Lissa had resolved not to fall to pieces like that again. In fact, hard as it was, she was somehow pulling strength from the incident. She'd heard Owain, that much was clear. He mightn't be in this realm, but the mere fact that her son's voice had reached her meant that he was still alive, somewhere out there. And is her son was alive and fighting, then so were the others. They had to be, they were the strongest people Lissa knew! And besides, Naga had confirmed as much while comforting her from whatever cruel jape had been set upon her.
'So if the others are out there and fighting, I can't sit here and cry! I need to pull my weight too!' Lissa thought to herself, a determined expression now on her face. She might be alone in this realm, but that just meant she needed to work twice as hard to keep it safe, so that when she was reunited with her friends and family she could look them in the eyes and proudly say she'd done her part. That she wasn't some delicate teacup that needed Chrom or Frederick to protect her.
Nodding to herself, Lissa made her way to the part of the festival that caught her interest; a bamboo tree with pieces of paper swaying from it serenely. One of the festival's many 'wishing trees.' According to the information Lissa had read prior to arriving, on this festival of reunions, if you tied your wish to a bamboo tree and let it be burned at the end, the gods may see fit to grant your wish. Lissa clutched her piece of paper tightly to her heart. How wonderful that would be, for her friends and family to return thanks to a wish made during a festival of reunions....it would like some wonderful stroke of fate, wouldn't it? But....these gods weren't her gods...would that count against her? Or could Naga possibly convince them to listen to her wish regardless? Swallowing tightly, Lissa took one final look at her wish:
I wish my family and friends could come to this realm, safe and sound. I want to see them again.
Sighing, she threaded some string through a hole in her slip of paper and tied it tightly to keep it secure. Walking up to the tree, she leaned up to tie it to a high branch, hoping the gods might see it more easily. ....Well, she would have had, but unfortunately, the branch she had was far too high, even when she was on her tiptoes!
"MOU~! Are you kidding me?! Why is so high?!" she whined, stamping her foot like a young girl. Caught up in her annoyance, she didn't notice a certain person approach her from behind...
Festival Fun // [OPEN]
"Oh, there's a new festival on this month?" Pausing in her departure from Spica for the day, Ran looked at a poster declaring the start of the Tanabata festival. "the festival of wishes, hmm?" she mused to herself, a smile creeping onto her face.
She had to admit, festivals here in Bunkyo were always good fun. There was a always a cheerful atmosphere around the city and sometimes a hint of something exciting about to approach. But maybe that was just her.
"Ha, I should wish for Shinichi not to be such an idiot....but that would be a wasted wish, wouldn't it?" Ran laughed to herself, shaking her head. That said, what did she really wish for? For things to get better? For her and Claire to become closer. Or she could just go back to wishing her parents would stop being such stubborn idiots and get back together. (They had to. Eventually. Right?)
Either way, the festival would be a good excuse to have some fun and forget about school, karate and her father's antics for a little while. Smiling a little more widely, Ran made her way to the entrance of Spica, taking in a deep breath, speaking aloud.
"I wonder who else is going to the festival...?"
Vɪʀᴛᴜᴀʟ ғᴇsᴛɪᴠᴀʟ
{ ♫ }—; Actually festival sounded like a fun idea. Of course there would be many things to do at such a place, although given her current place... The only thing she really could do at this place was "play" with other people. "Fufufufu..." A mischievous giggle slipped out of her lips. Of course Ene would love to be able to participate in festival activities, but as a cyber programme that just wasn't possible. If she could convince someone to bring her to the festival, Ene would be overjoyed with that alone. Perhaps there was a harmless file on someone's phone was just waiting to be opened. The moment they did open it, well, Ene would be sure to convince them to bring her to the festival. Whether they wanted to go or not.

"A Tanabata festival, ne?" Shizuka looked at the poster on the noticeboard, smiling slightly. It had been a while since any festivals of note, it would be a good opportunity to kick back a little and enjoy herself.
Plus, Tanabata was special for a whole other reason. It was the festival of wishes, or course. A festival that was dear to her heart for so many reasons. When she was younger, she used to wish for her parents to get back together and live with her brother, then it change to wishing her eyes would heal. Now...
"Hmm...maybe I should go make a wish..." she murmured, smiling to herself, almost sadly. "It's worth a shot....even if only one of my wishes ever came true...maybe I'll get lucky again? Maybe..."
"A Tanabata festival?" That sounded like it was going to be really really fun! Haruka couldn't wait to go and see all the festivities and tie a wish to the tree. Surprisingly enough he didn't have any problems thinking up what to write for his wish as that was pretty much clear to him already, but another matter entirely was preoccupying his mind.
"I wonder if Takane would want to go with me~..."
