My name is Meagan, and I am one of the humans that will be behind the scenes and running this blog.
While we would like to think this blog will be a functional, organized, and well-oiled machine, we must accept it for what it will likely be -- a project that has a high probability for spiraling beyond our control into a chaotic and disheveled mess that will hopefully still feature a nice picture or two.
This project is something Jared and I have joked about here and there before slowly beginning to mull over the idea until it manifested itself into existence. I won’t even get into the minute details of ideas he’s thrown my way that will likely get out of hand and wander into a budget that we admittedly do not have, but I am curious to see where this journey takes us.
As two Austinites that have a love for nature, photography, food, adventures, and all the other stereotypical hipster bullshit, the idea practically birthed itself all the while seeming natural and just....us. Though the vast majority of our adventures will be stationed around the beautiful state of Texas (again, we have a budget -- as to be expected of two excursion junkies in their twenties that are clueless but trying to make ends meet), we hope this blog will force us to step beyond the barriers of our comfort zones and expand into new horizons. While we are doing this for us, this blog will serve as a source of accountability to remind us to embrace a bit of spontaneity here and there and stay adventurous when the time presents itself.
All we can hope is to document the tales along the way, capture and share visual evidence of the spellbinding moments, and maybe provide a laugh or two for those that choose to virtually embark on this adventure at our sides.
