Every relationship is in agreement. Always dynamic, evolving and shapeshifting, most live in the subconscious. My mother agreed to raise me to be a decent man. It's because they are generally not explicit or expressed. But they definitely exist. We assume the other knows, or should know. And we judge them when they don't. If they really loved us, they should know us better; they should be able to read our minds. Wrong! We are too complex to be fully understood. And they also have a circus playing in their head. There is way too much commotion to make sense of what's really going on. We all have different stories running through our minds. And the only way to bring clarity and coherence between them is through consistent and specific communication. It may not be fun. It might seem to kill the romance playing in our minds. The reality, however, is far from our perception. Open and clear requests can be very fun and even more sexy. May I give you a kiss? Will you please take out the garbage? This is how our needs are met. This is how we actively create harmony. Start talking. Make requests.
