@beeinyourbonnet The fox was a mythical creature from the moment I saw the prompt. I loved it when OUAT dipped into Greek mythology, so I jumped at the chance to bring in a Japanese trickster. This fox has heard about th Dark One and is very unimpressed by its lack of playfulness. Lol
@leni-ba Heh. If Rumbelles ever met the fox, you know Belle would immediately try to hug the little, cute creature; while Rumple would deliberate whether it'd more more useful as an accomplice or as a set of ingredients...
@darklybound The Castle is probably my favorite minor character. I know it's based more on the Disney version than canon, but come on, why have the Dark One live in the same place for centuries if it's not enchanted. As for the fox and the painting, there was a whole backstory and how it was a gift from his childhood friend, so the fox is proud enough to want the thing seen by the whole world; but too mischievous to actually let it have another owner. ;)

I don't tend to reply to comments and I generally don't expect authors to reply to mine, so it's always a little heartwarming when they do (especially if it's more than just a 'thank you for commenting').

What would a theoretical “Land of Avalanches and Merry Men” look like?
It depends mostly on who's land it is. By that I mean which classpect because the land is highly dependent on a person and their godtier. But if I had to go off the name I'd say a snowy place with ice statues of Merry Men that could serve a specific purpose buried deep under the snow. But as I already said, the description will vary depending on the classpect.
