also even if authors didn’t tag any specific warnings but they used the “creator chose not to use archive warnings” tag, then that is your warning.

“omg you should’ve —” no one forced your entitled ass to read anything. fanfic writers write for themselves and their own enjoyment. if you don’t like what you’re reading, quietly leave. ao3 is not an airport. no one cares about your departure so no need to announce it.

was rereading some of your dom eddie fics and i just have to say that i love the distinction you make between buck referring to eddie as sir in his head when in scene/subspace and referring to him as just eddie when he’s out of scene <3

This was actually a deliberate decision I make when writing to distinguish the headspace and indicate Buck going into subspace.

"Chim," Evan says, and his voice is pleasant in a way that Eddie doesn't like. He comes to a stop next to Chim and beams. "You must be Hen." "Uh," Hen nods. "I am. Missus Wilson, biology." Evan flaps a hand. "Chim's told me such much about you, I feel like we're friends already." He pushes his hand forward, "Buck." With a snort, Eddie nudges Hen and she takes Buck's hand. "Nice to meet you," she says, sounding so confused that Eddie coughs to hide a chuckle. Ignoring Hen's sideways glare. Of course Chim is standing there, popping gum, watching it all happen with great amusement. He doesn't say anything, just smirks. Buck's eyes land on Eddie, "I'm sorry," he murmurs, "I don't think Chim's mentioned you." "Wow," Eddie raises his eyebrows. "Chim. I'm hurt." His tone is dry and full of sarcasm. "You're not in my department," Chim mutters, cheeks pink. "You don't come up in a lot of work stories, Eddie." Rolling his eyes, Eddie says, "you're a terrible friend." He holds his hand out to Buck. "Eddie Diaz, history." * There's a new teacher in their midst and Eddie is utterly enchanted by him.

The reaction is instantaneous. Eddie's face smooths into something impassive and masking, his arms tighten over his chest like he's holding himself together. "I told you, there's nothing to talk about," Eddie grits out. "See," Buck murmurs, "I think there is. Because whenever I bring it up, you get like this." He waves his hand up and down to encompass Eddie's body. Voice rising, Buck continues, "I want to apologise and you shut down. You shut me out!" Eddie snarls, "because I thought it was you!" Stilling, Buck drops his head. "I know I should have been the one who told you." He's so ashamed that he didn't. The scoff Eddie releases stings. It's followed by a loud, deep inhale and a deliberately slow exhale. "I didn't mean I thought it was you calling," Eddie tells him, tone clipped in that almost military way it gets when he's trying to his his emotions from people. He's not usually like that with Buck. "I thought it was you that was dead." * Buck goes on a healing journey, and somehow, of course, the destination is Eddie.
