“Are you staring at me while I sleep again, Avatar?”
“Always.” He grinned wide, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
She flushed and mumbled, “I really don’t get why you like staring at me so much.”
“Because you’re beautiful. And I like to gaze into the eyes of my soulmate.” Aang poked her side teasingly, leaning down closer to her face.
“Soulmate?” Azula scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Please, Aang. As if there’s such a thing.”
He hummed and rolled to his back, tucking his hands behind his head. “You don’t think so? The monks believed in soulmates, but they always told me that soulmates weren’t found; they were made.”

Hey, Joy! I hope you’re having a great day. 💜 Have a little All the Lights!
Toph blasts through the doors of the Jasmine Dragon mid morning on Sunday, cane held aloft and combat boots tracking dirty snow all over the clean mahogany floors.
“Sparky!” she bellows to the tea house at large.
Tiny though Toph is, she bears a fierce scowl and holds her ground near the entrance, broad and dominant, ears listening intently for any telltale signs of Zuko. He turtleducks even further into his hoodie, mute and unsure of whether or not he should be thankful that the Jasmine Dragon is mostly empty due to the weather. On one hand, it means that Toph can’t cause a scene in front of tons of customers. On the other, it means less ambient noise to hide him from her wrath.
A very quick zutara doodle for my pal @siambre! Happy birthday friend!
Katara opened the door to their apartment and plopped her things on the table, a sigh falling from her lips after her exhausting day. She threw off her boots and coat, grabbing a spare hoodie Zuko had left on one of the chairs. She immediately pulled it on and inhaled his scent.
It was lovely of course, but where was the real thing? He usually greeted her at the door…
She found him on the couch, immersed in a book. Katara had no hesitation as she draped herself over him, collapsing on the couch and making him puff out a breath in surprise as she crushed him unexpectedly.
“Well hello to you too, Kat.”
She groaned and buried her face in his chest. Zuko chuckled and threw his book to the coffee table before pulling a blanket from the back of the couch over their bodies. He wrapped his arms around her securely.
“Bad day?”
Katara nodded. “Can we take a nap?”
He rubbed her back in soothing circles. “Of course. We can do whatever we want,” he teased, as he often told her now that they finally lived alone together after so many years.
She smiled, snuggling into him further. “I just want to stay here like this with you for a little while.”
Zuko held her tighter. “You can stay right there forever as far as I’m concerned.”
Happy holidays! I made a thing for my pal @lone-star-ranger as a solstice gift exchange event done in our multishipping server.
Have some sweet Jinko!
~~~
Jin giggled suddenly as they glided over the ice easily.
“What’s so funny?” Her boyfriend questioned, raising his lone eyebrow.
“Oh, nothing. I was just thinking of the first time we ice skated,” she grinned teasingly, “you fell on your ass, remember?”
Zuko rolled his eyes as a pink flush crawled up his neck. “Yeah, yeah. I remember just fine.”
Jin sighed happily as she tucked her arm into his, they smoothly turned the corner together. “That was our first real date. It was so long ago, wasn’t it?”
He shrugged. “Just a few years ago. My hands shook the whole date.”
She laughed—yes he had been so incredibly nervous it was hilarious now. And adorable. So adorable.
Zuko paused in the center of the rink, pulling her to a stop. “You know, my hands aren’t shaking now. Now I’m sure of myself, sure of you.”
Jin smiled sweetly at him, he was such a romantic. “Zuko, you know I—“
She cut herself off with a gasp as he fluidly got down on one knee.
“Z-Zuko?”
He grinned up at her as he pulled a small box from his pocket. “I told you, I’m sure. Are you?”
Zuko opened the box to reveal a simple golden ring with a thin band and a large circular-cut diamond. He held it up to her. “Will you marry me, Jin?”
She stood there, gapping at him in shock. How had she not seen this one coming? In fact, how had Zuko (of all people) played it off this cool?
“You know, I’m getting kind of cold down here, so an answer would be nice…”
“Get up or I’ll tackle you onto the ice.” Jin gripped his coat and tugged upwards. Zuko laughed as he rose from the hard ground, settling his hands on her hips. Jin burst forward and kissed him right on the mouth.
Zuko grinned into this kiss as he wrapped his arms more securely around her, softly chuckling into her mouth. “You still haven’t given me an answer, my love.”
“Of course my answer is yes, Zuko. Now kiss me again.”
