part of the representation of Shane being undiagnosed autistic that makes so much sense to me is the fact that he probably has a fair amount of his support needs met through being able to pay for services. Like him hiring a decorator & nutritionist makes me think he probably also pays people to clean his home & deliver his groceries. Bc he is rich it's not seen as an accommodation so much as a luxury. In the time period this show takes place most people around him probably don't suspect he's autistic & may not even be aware of potential struggles he may have w daily living, outside of his social awkwardness. I also think part of why Yuna is such a good momager is bc she is familiar with how he communicates in ways a stranger probably wouldn't be.
I also think it's telling that he has a career that's based on having a lot of knowledge/practice w the very particular skill of playing hockey. The public appearances required seem very scripted. I wouldn't be surprised if he would struggle in a different or more commonplace career path.
