It seemed virtually inevitable that I would be thrown out of AutismOne, a yearly conference that has been accused of being a hive of anti-vaccine sentiments, bad science, scaremongering and worthless products. The conference has, after all, ejected several science bloggers who have previously attended, as well as a Chicago Tribune journalist, a filmmaker, and a representative from the California Department of Public Health. Also, I did not have a press pass.

Miracle Mineral Solution, Master Mineral Solution, or MMS, is a toxic solution of 28% sodium chlorite in distilled water. The product contains essentially the same ingredient as industrial-strength bleach before "activation" with a food-grade acid. A more dilute version is marketed as Chlorine Dioxide Solution (CDS), which is heavily promoted by Kerri Rivera, who claims that her child was cure from autism and many others. Taken as oral solution or enema, it can result in: vomiting, dehydration, nosebleeds, and renal failure. The lining of the intestines/bowels are stripped and viewed as ropeworm/parasites. It is falsely promoted as cure for many disorders such as autism, malaria, hiv, and counting.

Kerri Rivera is a vile, disgusting human being. She has an autistic child. She wrote the book,  Healing Autism, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0989289001 which gives you instructions on how to follow her protocol. She makes her money in book sales, conferences, and exclusive skype conversations charging $100 USD per hour. Residing in Mexico, she has no medical experience or credentials but has completed a course in homeopathy. Her protocol requires children to digest chlorine dioxide through mostly drinks, baths, and enemas. Resulting in many and severe side effects. She will claim “the healing is beginning... parasites are getting aggraivated.” 

Kerri Rivera protocol on healing autism, is for a child to score a low mark on a scale called the ATEC scale. Under 10, and she calls them 'healed'. Well actually Kerri 1-10 means mild autism, if you want to be picky. A recent post she put in a CD group claims that her own son is now 'healed', with a score of 5, yet she admits he still has a lot of communication difficulties? What about the 140 healed kids? Why haven't we heard of them in the press? Why haven't autism specialists been praising this "miracle"? 

I am a mother with a child on the spectrum. I am friends with adults on the spectrum. I have friends with children on the spectrum. Never would I suggest anyone to ingest industrial grade bleach. It is not made for human consumption. It is not made for the human body. It is chemical use to get rid of bacteria, parasites, germs on surface. It is used in hospital, slaughter house, and even the bottle of bleach sitting in your very home- used for disinfecting your bathroom. I have contacted the news- and yet it have been ignored (only one is pending of response). My friends have been trying to stop this. Banned in Canada, Kenya, France, Germany. When will the US realize this MUST end?? How can we save the children from harms way? How can we educate parents with proper information of how to support and help their children without invasive and dangerous chemical? They believe in this, and it is growing at an alarming rate.
