Autistic Coran headcanons.
.Coran rambles because he’s not always sure where to leave gaps for other people to speak.
.He does big movements because he stims by swinging his arms.
.He has a variety of special interests, ones that people don’t know about until they bring it up in conversation, and Coran just info dumps.
.Coran being hyper empathetic, like how he was with the balmera etc.
.He’s hypo-sensory, and has to find very strong flavours if he wants to taste things, he assumes that everyone is the same way, which is why he tries to feed the paladins that weird lunch.
.Coran always feeling much more cheerful after info-dumping, it makes him feel more awake, and more energised.
.Hunk showing Coran more spices, and Coran making some horrific meal that only he can stomach, because he gets so excited about the new flavours.
.Coran finding change difficult, but trying his best to seem like he’s coping just fine, because he doesn’t want to worry Allura.
.Coran keeping himself occupied with cleaning the castle because it’s something familiar, and he finds it reassuring.
I maybe have been going thru all your posts dhfhcb they're so good, and that coran w echolalia is so true!! bet he stimmed all the time w those alkari cubes, and was kinda upset to trade it w that mall guy for the teloduv lenses. but then!!! imagine how happy he was to get so many back from the alkari, he has so many more to stim w now!!!! thank you for this blessed hc I'm in heaven!!
He was absolutely DELIGHTED to get more cubes from the Olkari! As a matter of fact, those cubes were specifically designed to stim with. The Olkari, while not entirely an autistic race, are mostly an autistic race (the odd allistic will pop up with about the same frequency as we autistics do here on Earth), and those cubes are used primarily by children as stim toys. Some adults use them too, though, and they can also be used as AAC devices if properly converted!
