Went to Galveston this weekend from the 6th to the 9th. Bionicle turns 25 this year. It'll be Bionicle day in a few days. Perfect opportunity to bring some of my figures along to take pictures for the occasion and also take them where they feel more at home.

Day 3 at Galveston. Turaga Vakama and Turaga Nokama on the shores of Mata Nui. The Turaga, and, later on, the Matoran, on the shore of Mata Nui.

Avtoran Nattar (light) (ze/hir) I have created a second self-MOC to represent my more creative side, I will still be using Nazza.

A construction accident when working on the GSR caused Nattar to fall in to a energized Protodermis vane, ze now has an extended mind and more Bohrok like appearance. Now an inventor with a greater knowledge of the inter workings both Protodermis and energized Protodermis, Ze help with help design the internal structures of Metru-Nui and later moved to the Island of Artakha to work in Artakha's labs. Ze has taken over the Rahi building duties for the Island after the Kojol incident. Ze does not want to be a toa, even if Artakha wanted to test the mask of light charge on hir.

Hir preferred tool to use is the Laser Staff, customized and upgraded Fire Staff

My entry for the Bionicle: Ignition Av-Matoran Joust… meet Spektra!

To look at Spektra, most would assume they were a warrior: a fighter armed with sword and shield, ready to take on the forces of darkness. Nothing could be further from the truth. A biologist by trade, Spektra was one of the first in the Matoran Universe to discover the existence and effects of Pit Mutagen following the great cataclysm. Regularly descending into the swamp of secrets to study the mutated flora and fauna it produced, Spektra used a spiked machete to cut through the thick vines overgrowing the marsh, as well as an electro-shield to dissuade any Rahi who became too aggressive to simply avoid with their hover-jets. However, when the Makuta invaded their home and began destroying Av-Matoran villages, Spektra used their knowledge of the swamps to evade capture as they began an entirely new line of study: how to undo the effects of shadow leeches. There was one unusual Rahi they’d seen circling in the skies overhead that was of particular interest…

Toa Phantoka and their Av-Matoran companions!

Just like my Mahritoran, all 6 are buildable IRL. Once I get my bricklink acct set up, I can try to publish these so anyone can download and order the parts list. (I plan on doing so when I come upon more big kid money)

Bionicle fanfiction Idea:

An Av Matoran wakes up one day and all of his friends are gone. He tries to look for them, but all of the exits to the cave he live in have full on disappeared.

At the end, it would be revealed that this was just a whole flippin’ dream he was having as he transformed into a Bohrok. Even though the transformation takes place over 3 seconds, the dream would feel like it took place over 3 hours-or even days in his head!

The colors red and blue would be a motif (representing Cahdok and Gahdok). Heck, maybe they’d even appear in the form of uncanny aberrations of a Ta and Ga Matoran respectively. Gahdok would try and calm him in order to get him to submit more willingly, while Cahdok would take a more aggressive approach.

The both of them would baby him (for self explanatory reasons.)
