One Of The Good Ones.
An: I wanted to write something O.L.L.A. related.
Imagine: Being in a poly relationship with Adam and Eve, being the one who turned them. Ava had come to visit Eve, but she crossed the line and you aren’t having it.
‘‘Sorry’‘
‘‘You drank Ian...’‘
Adam’s voice was flat, almost as if he weren’t surprised. Eve opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it, her sister had gone to far. Adam’s groans in frustration and turns to Eve, asking her to keep you away from the living room. But it was too late, you had already started waddling down the hallway, rubbing your tired eyes. You slip your arms around Eve’s waist and press your chest up against her back, nuzzling into her spine with a quiet hum.
‘‘What’s going on?’‘
‘‘Darling please go back to bed..’‘
You quickly let go of Eve, wanting to give Adam his equal share of your love. As soon as you slip past Eve you see the dead human on Adam’s couch, Ava’s mouth covered in his blood. Her fangs were fully protruded, looking like a child that had been caught sneaking around. You felt your jaw tense up, Adam nervously looked towards Eve. You always had quite the temper on you but Adam was glad that you were about to show it now.
‘’That is it! Ava, get out of our house! Now!’‘
‘‘But it was an accident! I swear okay, we were just kissing and things just kind of went further and oh Y/N! You have to understand, he smelled so very good!’‘
‘‘Out!’‘
You quickly stomped your way up the stairs and into Ava’s room and gathered up her things, stuffing it hastily into her bag. You couldn’t contain it, you had to get rid of her. She was nothing but an eyesore. You knew how much Eve loved her sister so you allowed her to turn. Sometimes you think it might’ve been the biggest mistake of your life to allow it to happen. An overgrown, gluttonous child who knows no bounds. She has put you all at risk, what if Ian’s friends came looking for him? He’s obviously dead and it seems to be too late to turn him. This was it, you’d all have to fake your deaths again and move to a different state, a different country. Or a different fucking planet. You quickly close the bag and haul it off into the hallway, throwing it down the stairs with a loud clatter. Eve had moved over to Ava and scolded her, as if she was going to listen to that. She was to lenient with her. Adam’s eyes just rolled back into his head. You swore if Ava did this shit again she was out, last time was horrifying enough. Considering there were human witnesses! That was the last time you had seen Ava and you and Adam had to clean it all up by yourselves while Eve just took Ava to the side and sent her to the naughty step. You entered the living room where Ava was standing next to Eve. Adam intently checking Ian’s corpse.
‘‘Shame, he was one of the good ones...’‘
‘‘I told you last time, if this happened again. You would not be allowed to see us. Did Italy teach you nothing!? Huh?!’‘
‘‘Y/N I’m sorry! I was stupid, please don’t throw me out!’‘
‘‘No, I’m not falling for this bullshit again Ava. Your shit’s in the hall, take it and leave.’‘
Eve kissed the top of Ava’s head and gently lead her to the hallway, you sighed and rubbed your temples. You were glad Adam had been an only child, you couldn’t handle a male version of Ava. Your lovers knew of your little brother, the subject was touchy with you. Having lost him only a century ago, the loss of him still hurt you. You understood Eve and her love for Ava, but this wasn’t working out for all of you in the long run. You had hoped Ava would’ve matured over the years, taken some responsibility for herself and others around her. Ava loves life and loves living it, pretending to be human. Going down to clubs, meeting up with friends.
‘‘She was never ready for this sort of life Adam...’‘
‘‘I know.’‘
You sat down next to Ian’s corpse and huffed as you heard the front door close, Ava was gone. You lean forward and bury your face in the palm of your hands, groaning loudly in thought. You’d have to dump the body somewhere, where no one would ever find him.
‘‘Was all of that really necessary?’‘
‘‘Eve please...’‘
Eve sat down on the other side of Ian and sighed, she was frustrated. You could see it in her eyes that she was angry with you. Adam pressed his lips together and silently vacated the room. You lean back and rest on the couch, looking to the side only to see Ian’s lifeless face staring back at you. How disgusting.
‘‘You shouldn’t have turned her...’‘
‘‘Y/N!’‘
‘‘Just like I shouldn’t have turned my brother. She’s just a kid, Eve. You know she wouldn’t be cut out for this life like the three of us, she craves to be out there. With the living, dancing and laughing. Ever since she got here she couldn’t stop rambling about her friends in LA. She would’ve done good for herself if she had stayed human. I understand your need to protect her, to love her. She’s your flesh and blood. I love Ava like I would my own child, trust me I do. But the shit that she gets up to endangers not only the three of us, but all of our kind. There would be none of us left if they found out about us, we’d be put into chambers. Tested on for decades. Would you want that sort of ending for Ava?’‘
Eve’s eyes glazed over, the tears dripping down her pale skin. You opened your arms for her, asking her to come over to you. Eve eagerly stood up and walked around Ian, throwing herself in your arms. Eve’s face buried in your chest you could feel her sadness take over this house. You ran your fingers through her hair, massaging the back of her skull gently. Whispering words of comfort and hushes of love. You truly didn’t want that sort of life for Ava, for any of you. To be locked up in a facility, tested and prodded. The most likely euthanized like some stray dog. You certainly didn’t want Ava to live like that. You and Adam alongside Eve might cope, but Ava? She would break day one. Living in modern times is dangerous, you hide from humanity most of your lives. There were rules that have to be kept and boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed. Sure she as one of the most irritating people you’ve ever have to deal with, like a toddler. But you did care for her and you did love her as if she were your own creation. Looking at Ava only brings back the pain of losing your brother. You kissed Eve’s forehead and pressed yours against it.
‘‘Ava has built up a tolerance for human blood, she will survive. But us? We wouldn’t survive, living in Ava’s world. Just like she wouldn’t survive in ours. I can’t really imagine Ava lounging around this house doing nothing but watching TV and have sex repeatedly day in and day out. Can you?’‘
Eve laughed and shook her head, she didn’t want to imagine her sister doing any of those things. Adam had walked back in, fully dressed. Holding a rolled up tarp underneath his arm and some rope, you knew you’d have to get dressed for this.
‘‘I know how to deal with this...’‘
‘‘Oh jolly...’‘
