concept: alyssandra and cerelle meeting (you can talk about this as little or as much as you want 🫶 i'm thinking of scenarios of cerelle coming to winterfell in season 1 and falling for jon, aly meeting her when she visits king's landing at some point after the rebellion, or even an au where aly married oberyn and helps with raising cerelle)
OH THIS IS SO CUTE ALFHBZCHXI okay I'm gonna touch on each of these!
Okay, so season one Cerelle coming to Winterfell! Aly would be very eager to meet Cerelle, anticipating the betrothal between her and Robb and wanting to make sure that they're a good fit. She would probably notice pretty quickly that Jon and Cerelle seem to be getting along better, though; I can totally see a scene where Aly invites Cerelle to come out riding with her and Arya and she tells her how Arya's pony Leech was Jon's pony first and he would get into all sorts of trouble with her, trying to get Cerelle to give away that she's smitten with him. I feel like she'd try to convince Ned to ask Robert about changing the betrothal, and betroth Robb to Myrcella instead, because she can tell that Cerelle is not interested in Robb!
If she'd met Cerelle in King's Landing or at one of the tournaments she makes Ned go to, Aly would, again in anticipation of a betrothal, encourage Robb to make friends with her! Which definitely means Jon and Jasper are getting dragged along! I actually think this sort of situation would be super cute, because I can totally see eight-year-old Robb and Steffon in Lannisport after the Greyjoy Rebellion having an exchange like: "What flowers does your cousin like?" "Why do you need flowers?" "My mother says I need to start wooing her because your uncle and my father are close and probably want us to get married." "Where are you going to get flowers?" "Oh." And then Jon in the background silently giving Cerelle a cool leaf he found. But Aly would happily welcome another child into her brood, so Cerelle would absolutely have an open invitation to hang out with the Starks!
Now probably the sweetest situation would be Alyssandra being Oberyn's wife and helping raise Cerelle. Aly knows about Oberyn's daughter(s) and I mentioned in another post that if they had married, Aly would have loved Obara as her own; they would have been betrothed before Nymeria is conceived, so she would be expecting Oberyn to be a bit more mindful of siring further bastards, but he either could lie and say one of the girls they took to bed together got pregnant or just tell her the truth. I like to think that with their soulmate vibes, Oberyn would simply be honest with Alyssandra from the start. But either way, she would absolutely adore little Cerelle. She would have a place in Aly's heart immediately, and would be raised as her own, just like Jon is. There is a possibility, given Alyssandra's own Braavosi blood, that she and Oberyn would claim Cerelle was the daughter of one of her dear Braavosi friends, to help explain why she's so attached to her husband's bastard. She would absolutely take Cerelle everywhere with her, and defend her as fiercely as she defends Jon in 'Scales and Swords'. (Sidebar; Catelyn and Ned would most likely be married here, and I can see Alyssandra offering to take Jon, in an effort to alleviate the strain for Catelyn, meaning we'd get more young, happy Jonelle!) Cerelle would absolutely be SO loved; Alyssandra would have a very hard time seeing her go back to being Cersei's!
