tfw when you see a post and it makes something click so you can bring That One OC out of development hell
this is Aurora on the left and her friend Amity on the right! Aurora’s the one who was giving me trouble; I’ve talked about Amity on the blog before.
rundown for both these nerds:
-Aurora is Star’s little sister. She’s something of a flower child, kind of spacey and summery and into nature. Doesn’t have that many friends.
-Amity is a family friend of Kwan’s. Her gag name and three older brothers gave her a gloomy streak early on. She’s full-force into her goth phase right now. Also doesn’t have that many friends.
-They technically meet during volleyball tryouts (they’re both in middle school, btw) and when they both make the team, they don’t have great chemistry at first. They’re equally bossy, but Amity’s more of a natural leader while Aurora’s just competitive.
-At some point Kwan catches wind of Star’s aloof hermit little sister with no friends and is like “eyyy you know who’s also an aloof hermit with no friends?” And they set them up to meet at a party or something.
-Cue Amity and Aurora sizing each other up while Star’s like “this is not going to work.” while Kwan’s like “this is gonna be great!”
-Somehow they accidentally discover that the amulet Amity wears opens portals through the Ghost Zone. Hilarity (and actual friendship) ensue from there, because nothing starts a bond like a life-or-death scenario and a secret shared.
-They take turns on the brain cell being the brave one. No one at school would ever think they were friends until someone starts talking shit about the other one.
