[the-apark-project]

Hello!

This is a (side) blog ran by @sparklingwaterhater and @smartfella5 about our project (early stage work in progress) called Apark.

It is actually divided into two parts: Sunmask and Apark: apart

These parts have different protagonists, but they are connected chronologically. Most characters appear in both parts.

These things will be elaborated later on.

The first concepts of this project existed since 2019, but a lot of things have been changed and expanded since then.

Just take in mind that the updates will probably be infrequent since we are both university students.

tfw when you see a post and it makes something click so you can bring That One OC out of development hell

this is Aurora on the left and her friend Amity on the right! Aurora’s the one who was giving me trouble; I’ve talked about Amity on the blog before.

rundown for both these nerds:

-Aurora is Star’s little sister. She’s something of a flower child, kind of spacey and summery and into nature. Doesn’t have that many friends.

-Amity is a family friend of Kwan’s. Her gag name and three older brothers gave her a gloomy streak early on. She’s full-force into her goth phase right now. Also doesn’t have that many friends.

-They technically meet during volleyball tryouts (they’re both in middle school, btw) and when they both make the team, they don’t have great chemistry at first. They’re equally bossy, but Amity’s more of a natural leader while Aurora’s just competitive.

-At some point Kwan catches wind of Star’s aloof hermit little sister with no friends and is like “eyyy you know who’s also an aloof hermit with no friends?” And they set them up to meet at a party or something.

-Cue Amity and Aurora sizing each other up while Star’s like “this is not going to work.” while Kwan’s like “this is gonna be great!”

-Somehow they accidentally discover that the amulet Amity wears opens portals through the Ghost Zone. Hilarity (and actual friendship) ensue from there, because nothing starts a bond like a life-or-death scenario and a secret shared.

-They take turns on the brain cell being the brave one. No one at school would ever think they were friends until someone starts talking shit about the other one.

2. What is their sexuality?

A lot of my newer characters don't have set sexualities lol. If I had to take a gander, though, I'd say Amity is straight and Aurora is ace.

12. How old are they? When is their birthday?

Both girls are 13. Amity's birthday is March 11, Aurora's is May 5.

14. What is their favorite food? How often do they get to eat it?

Amity LOVES chocolate cake, but her family bakes rarely, so she only gets to eat it at special functions or if Kwan and his mom have just made some. Aurora likes dragonfruit, especially in smoothies or frozen chunks, so her mom makes a note to pick some up whenever she can.

34. How easily do they trust others with their secrets? With their lives?

Amity likes to think she's secretive and mysterious, but she wears her heart on her sleeve most of the time, and is pretty open with her secrets as well. She'd rather take matters into her own hands than trust someone with her life, though. Aurora's the opposite; you have to pry her feelings & secrets out with a can opener, but she'll happily fork over control to be kept safe.

realistic: she’s probably thought to bring the amulet to fenton works more than once, but she balks every time.

while it may not be realistic it is hilarious: i have this drabble where she falls into the ghost zone and meets walker despite him being in amity park in my project who lets her off with a warning like he did danny. later on he spots her in there again, but she gets away because of the “humans intangible in ghost zone” rule

heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends: *shrugs* all my ocs are pretty slice-of-life/comedy-oriented lel

unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own: i haven’t decided what she does when she grows up but it’d be fucking HILARIOUS if she became the mayor of amity park because. because that’s also her name
