The muscle structure of Avinians. For the most part, they share the same muscles as other humanoids, with the most noticeable difference being the extra set of pectorals for their wings.

Concentrated on an island off the east coast of the Atisarala Passage

Not known to travel far

Used to be regular birds

Experimental mana infused into the water supply of the island

The birds and plants had a reaction to the magic

Plants showed signs first

Other animals did not survive the experiment

Diet mostly consists of nuts, berries, and seeds but can handle lean and white meat

If they eat red meat, it could make them sick

Sub-species that take after raptors/ birds who can consume red meat have a tolerance

Have the internal anatomy of a bird

Even in humanoid form

In humanoid form, they have an extra set of pectoral muscles to operate their wings

Very superficial

Make quick judgements of character

Are hard to befriend

Do not wander far from flocks when making relationships

Many species cannot mesh well with their nature

Devote nature

Can become devote to hobbies, religion, lifestyles, studies, etc.

Hyperfocus can be good or bad regardless

Can become a toxic self-righteous attitude if not given checks and balances

Show sexual dimorphism

Males: larger wingspan, longer limbs, vibrant colors, large nose, heights average out to 6 feet 3 inches (190 cm)

Females: smaller wingspan, shorter limbs, dull colors, round features, small nose, heights average out to 4 feet 10 inches (147 cm)

Both: hooked nose, detached earlobes, wings placed on shoulder blades

Have standards of beauty

Male: tall, vibrant, sharp features, lean

Female: small, curvy, plump

Oviparous

Can only lay 1 to 2 eggs at a time

Sub-species passed on from mother

Will look and have primary functions of the mother’s sup-species

Can exhibit characteristics of father’s sub-species, but will not be the same species

Have heightened senses and are very sensitive to mana

Makes them great mages or familiars

Raven: cold, calculating, and wise

Nightingale: frail and innocent

Cardinal: protective, energetic, and aggressive

Albatross: strong and thoughtful

Parrot: chatty and rash

Woodpecker: crafty, hardworking, and ditzy
