LOW WASTE FESTIVALS Summer is here! We are heading to #allpointseast Festival in London to see Mumford & Sons today with our trusty empty reusable water bottles, a cloth bag & cups along to avoid disposables. 💃🏻 Disappointingly, I can only see images of single use plastic cups on social media & they don't share any info on their site about waste disposal or recycling. 🙄 Not ideal, but regardless, we will do our best today & I'll definitely be in comms with organisers after the event to find out what their plans are to greenify future events. . @glastofest are making it clear that they care this year saying "Leave no trace. Reuse. Reduce. Respect." with a whole section of their site dedicated to making this happen. 🌍🙌 . Have you dodged single use items at any Summer events? . Today is a reminder of how much things can change in a short few years. When I went to concerts in the past I wouldn't have thought twice about going along with just my phone & wallet. I assumed that anything I used there would be recycled, not shipped off to Malaysia to deal with the problem or burnt. So don't be hard on yourself if you're only starting to rethink these things now. Just one simple swap like having a reusable water bottle with you could stop loads of plastic waste in one weekend. 🙌 . . . #avoidsingleuse #doitforearth #wastefreeplanet #reusable #nosingleuse #greenerfestivals (at All Points East) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByKyB0JHaI-/?igshid=1sljxv42k8x2a
