The first thought that Sae had, when seeing Violet swirl through the air like a lotus petal, was that it looked flamboyant and stupid and made you an easy target.
The second thought she had, when Violet had promptly found a weak-spot with her rapier while in midair and proceeded to run the target through, was that it looked flamboyant and insane.
However, it proved effective. And, well, the lawyer's never been one to disregard a well-presented piece of evidence. Not to mention that everyone else in the little war-band she had become the latest member of had some practice regarding acrobatics and manoeuvrability.
Even if she was more of a brute in her tactics, far more willing to get hurt if it meant dealing a killing blow…perhaps she could use that deftness. The more cards in a person's hand, the more ready someone is for many complications. Such is law, such is combat, such is life.
And, as the endlessly hopeful little shit that is the other self she now bears has stated, she could do with more connections. Less fair-weather conversation and daggers pointed at her back, and more getting to know people behind their masks. Mend the scars of neglect and torment under the state, little by little.
Be whole again.
That is why she has made an appointment with one Sumire Yoshizawa.
She has a skill the others only faintly grasp at, mere pretenders to a master of her craft. Just as Sae is the fiercest of the bunch, who doesn't rest until whatever is in her way is ripped asunder, so too is Sumire the deftest.
And it is for that reason alone, she has booked a room in Protein Lovers. One evening spent working out. And one supposed co-worker she is viewing as the punching bag she is currently beating within an inch of its life.
The opening of the door is matched with a particularly fierce roar as Sae delivers a kick to the bags center of mass, slamming it to the wall.
"…You're early." Sae mutters, back facing Sumire and foot buried in the sandbags mass.
"Good."
