The Netherlands not only officially pulled out, our broadcaster will also not broadcast the Contest next year.. which kinda concernes me bc wasn't there an EBU rule that if you mess with the broadcast against EBU's rules, there would either be a fine, or the broadcaster gets banned or even both??

As the investigation regarding Joost Klein from the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest continues, Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has announced that they believe changes need to be made regarding the focus of the contest, otherwise their participation may not remain certain, saying:

"The Eurovision Song Contest was created to connect countries and peoples through music and to encourage mutual brotherhood. This should be the starting point for the organizers and all participating countries. Until AVROTROS is confident that structural adjustments will be made to the artists and their musical message back in the center, we will keep participation in the Euroivision [sic] Song Contest under consideration."
