hi! ok ok for asks *thinking* what things do you like to see most in rhythm games?

i love rhythm games that have more gameplay than just "push button when it hits the receptor". games like rhythm heaven, parappa, vib ribbon, & patapon fit this description very nicely.

rhythm heaven is timing button presses to cues in a little minigame.

parappa is timing button presses in call & response gameplay, but you also get to freestyle and try to go for COOL!

vib ribbon is timing button presses but it's so simple and also loads itself into RAM so you can put your own music in. the gameplay for custom songs are auto-generated so it may not be the best, but it's still fun.

patapon is timing button combinations to command an army of little guys. you can make them move and fight and there's actually a lot you can do in this series other than just playing the rhythm game (such as making troops for your patapon army, i just like seein em pop outta da tree.) this is why it is my favorite rhythm game. please ask me about patapon (especially the 3rd game), but dont ask me about the story because even i dont have a good grasp on it.
