“G O D, could this thing be anymore boring? Give me a couple minutes and I might have to start stirring up a little... trouble.”
STANDING outside with the mask over his eyes, jude was smoking a cigarette. he didn’t know WHY he was dressed up and at this event. the H Y B R I D heard the footsteps behind him, and he turned around quickly. ‘’WHAT are you doin’ out here??’’

STANDING outside, away from the crowd at the ball-- he brought a cigarette up to his lips and took a drag, exhaling the smoke slowly. LOOKING over at his side as he saw a male come out as well. E X T E N D I N G his pack of cigarettes out to the male he nodded once. ‘’figured you could use it.’’
scott approached in a half assed black mask like that from the movie incredibles, a simple suit hugging his lean body. he had been in town for what? several hours, having walked the few miles into new orleans due to the car he was forced to steal after losing his own in a gambling mistake. hungry, and searching, he approached the doors, blending in with the others dressed a little more put-together than he. especially when one’s hunger had weakened him. the doors were open and everyone was rushing to get inside, and he must admit, they all looked ravishing. one in particular stood out to him and he approached with a grin, standing nearby just within earshot of the stranger. “hm,” he practically purred, “daddy’s home.”
the charity masquerade ball event, sapphire had been counting down the minutes. it was like prom all over again though instead of a huge princess like gown she had opted for something a little more formal. made from pretty silk fabrics that hugged her body in all the right ways, sapphire strutted in, no one by her side. she was independent, she didn’t need company – but what she did need was attention. that of which, she didn’t get. despite raising her arms as her heels clicked on the ground harshly, hardly anyone looked up to notice her. upset with the reaction she wanted a do-over, turning on her heel before anyone did notice to redo the whole thing. perhaps she should have requested some intro music? either way, take two. upon exiting and waiting for the right moment she huffed and puffed, muttering under her breath. she had worked on her make up since the early hours of the morning, her outfit was perfect, why wasn’t everyone looking at her? it made no sense maybe it was because nobody could tell it was her. yeah, that was it. “hey, you, walk in with me.”
Celia glanced out over the crowd. Her lips pursed as she lost sight of her devilish target. Her eyes had stayed trained on him for every moment up until someone had stepped into her view, prying. She sighed, turning her attention back to the pryer. "I'm surprised someone dressed as spectacularly as you, even has time to stop dancing and talk to me." She commented before her whimsical laugh left her lips, perfectly trained for her surroundings.
logan felt stupid, mortified even. there had been maybe three seconds of curiosity when he thought that the ball could be interesting but upon arrival it just sucked. right off the bat. everyone was hidden behind a mask, himself included, so he had no idea who to approach nor did he have anything prepared to say. in all honesty he was debating turning on his heel and leaving the place ( despite purchasing the red tux specifically for the night ). of course, it wouldn’t be like logan to take a day off “work”, beneath his clothes he had managed to hide a couple small weapons that he predicted he would need – after all, this was a fundraiser for the damage caused by a horrific event some weeks ago, it was the prime time to strike. his eyes cast to the table, pondering the contents of the punch bowl before he poured himself some and took a cautious sip. alcoholic? he couldn’t tell, it wasn’t like he got drunk often. spotting someone about to do the same he asked, “i’ve already spiked it, loser.”
After making a couple of rounds at the party she needed to get some air. She was currently sitting on the back stairway. From where she was sitting Hayley could still hear the party that was still in full force. When she glanced around her surroundings she noticed a few flowers that were dead. Walking over to them she muttered a spell to bring them back to life.
