“G O D, could this thing be anymore boring? Give me a couple minutes and I might have to start stirring up a little... trouble.”

“And look who it is.” Danira’s face brightened with both mischief and excitement. “It’s really not that hard to tell you apart from the others --- especially when you stand around so... TENSED up like that. Come on, let’s have a drink. I’m sure you could use one.”
“Can I go home yet? I really, really feel awkward and I don’t dress up like this at all.” The girl sighed, motioning to the lengthy gown she adorned. Not to mention her heels were killing her.
“G O O D B Y E. It’s not like anyone’s holding a gun to your head and forcing you to stay here, so just leave. I’d honestly be surprised if anyone noticed your absence anyway.”
“I was really excited for this thing until I realized just how terrible I am at dancing!”
“Sounds like a personal problem that I really don’t care about.”
“oh, no. no thank you. i’m– i’m fine.” marissa insisted, refusing to take the alcoholic drink. she felt incredibly uncomfortable at the ball. she knew it was a bad idea and was ready at leave at any moment. “i don’t drink.”
“oh, come on -- don’t be such a little girl. what’s one drink going to do?” A smirk spread across the females features, hand still stubbornly extending towards the female as she waited for the glass tobe removed from her hand.
noticing the other, jason approached nonchalantly. he swiped icing off his cupcake with his thumb and licked it off before smirking at them. “that outfit looks lovely, but it’d look better on my floor.”
“s w e e t h e a r t, you’re using that line on the wrong girl. I’m sure if you keep looking around, you’ll find someone stupid enough to fall into it.” Danira retorted, her hand raising to flip the tight curls away from her face.

“Well, aren’t you a good listener.”
❝ pretty sure i look cute regardless , though. ❞
“Cute, maybe --- but definitely not enough to listen to the sound of voice for any longer than what I have already .”
“Hmm. Nope. Did you see your son? I got him a motorized mini car. Like the one at the toy store. I just wanted to tell you!”
His words hurt her a lot more than she would ever let on. Every day the female wished she could be around her OWN BLOOD without distance separating them.“ Stay a w a y from my son, Davyn.” Expression hard, voice seeping with venom and a glare strong enough to kill.
“Fuck off, I didn’t ask to be sat near a bloodsucker tonight.”
“And I’d rather NOT be near a loud mouthed, sorry excuse for a mutt either, but looks like we’re both disappointed. Either you can stand up and take your unneeded presence known somewhere else or do us both a favor by not saying anything.”
“Aw, thank you. You too.”
“In OTHER words, stop talking to me. Don’t I get at least one break from having to see your face? Dealing with you for this long gives me a fucking migraine.”
“---You’d look a lot cuter with your mouth zipped shut. ”
“I’ll be sure to let her know your kind opinion if I ever learn how to summon the dead,” Valentina was never one to get overly emotional, but the heartbreak of losing her mother was still a sore subject. Of course, this girl couldn’t have known what the witch was going through, but that didn’t make her feel any less angry.
“I’d say I’m sorry to hear that, but I really don’t care. The only thing I wish she would’ve done was give this place the necessary makeover that it needed --- like I said already." Stranger or not, Danira was merciless. Always saying whatever she wanted withtout the mere consideration of how others felt. That, and she merely loved getting under other’s skins.
“Oh really?” Davyn clapped his hands together and exited the shadows. “Do you need to borrow my handkerchief, my not so tender daughter?” He joked.
“Don’t ever call me that.” Danira’s face twisted in digust, brown hues rolling at the comment. Removing the rest of the blood that remained on her lips, “Don’t know what going in on in that little brain of yours, but I’m N O T your daughter.”
Seth looked at the brunette. Disbelief clearly etched into his features. “Oh really? Didn’t know that blood and ketchup smell exactly alike.”
“OH, you caught me. It was worth the try though, don’t you think?”
Harshly Valentina placed the coffee pot down on the girls table. “First of all, I’m not babe,” she said simply. “And secondly, I am the owner. This place wasn’t designed to please people like you; my mother style can sometimes be a bit different but I happen to like it.” Without even acknowledging the girls other comment, she poured her a cup of coffee. “Anything else?”
“W E L L, your mother needs a serious wake up call. It makes prison look like a dream come true, if you ask me.” Always the one to go pissing off even the slightest strangers without a reason. “Those napkins you offered me earlier before, too. Might need to keep some around in case things get a little messy again.”
