Jin's Redemption Attempt

Jin is trying to get closer to you. The problem is that he has no idea how. So he asks Tohma and the second years for advice. "She keeps fidgeting around me and apologizing for nothing... It's pissing me off."

Tohma

“Have you tried smiling, captain?” 

“Wanna die?” 

“I don’t mean it as an insult,” he says with a sly grin. “But showing a different side of yourself may help open her heart to you.”

You’re in his room again. 

“Hey servant.” 

You look up. Chills run up and down your spine immediately. 

Why are his lips doing that? Why is he baring his teeth? 

“I-I’m sorry,” the words spill out. “Did I...do something wrong?” 

Jin’s ‘smile’ slowly disappears.

Fail. 

Later that night…

“She apologized the second I smiled at her.” 

Tohma nearly chokes on his tea. 

Lucas

“Hmm.” Lucas thinks deeply, hand resting on his chin. “I believe she’s afraid of you because your actions are very brute-like.” 

“Huh?” Jin is already irritated, but seeing Lucas completely sincere, he listens. 

“You see, I constantly tell Kaito and MC that I’ll protect them. And I make sure that my actions align with that promise.”

You’re out on a mission with Jin. His presence is always intimidating. But today, it’s somehow worse. 

“Stay within five feet of me at all times,” he says with a frown. 

And he makes sure you do. 

Wherever you go, he follows close behind like a massive guard dog. Every person that walks by, every shadow in the alleyway gets glared at. 

“Uhhh. Are you ok?” you ask carefully. 

Jin looks at you, or more like accidently glares at you.  

“S-Sorry. It’s nothing.” 

Now he’s confused why you’re apologizing. 

“If you have something to say, say it.” 

“Oh…it’s just that,” you laugh nervously, “you’re so jittery, it’s making me anxious.” 

Jin goes still. 

Fail. 

Later on the mission…

Lucas asks how it went. 

“She said my presence makes her anxious.” 

“...Oh dear."

Kaito

“Maybe being…nicer?” 

“What’d you say, you brat?” 

“Kyaa,” Kaito yelps. “I-I’m sorry.” 

Jin shakes his head, massaging his forehead from the stress. 

“...No. Continue.” 

“Y-You know,” Kaito says cautiously, “like wording things prettier. Saying please and thank you.” 

___

You bring over a cup of tea and accidentally spill it. 

“Are you dumb? Why’d you–” Jin abruptly stops himself. His expression twists like he’s physically fighting for his life. “I mean…” The words sound stiff. Awkward. “Everybody makes mistakes.” 

Silence.

Somehow that scares you even more. 

“I-I’m sorry, I’ll get more immediately!” 

You scurry away. 

___

“Bring that over here.” He pauses. “...Please.” 

Your hands shake slightly as you set it down like he might explode at any second.

Jin looks at you. 

“Thank you.” 

Your eyes widen. 

Is he possessed by an anomaly or something???

Fail.

After that…

Kaito screams as he sees a figure rapidly approaching him down the hallway.  

It's a pissed off Jin.

“It didn’t work. Come back here, you brat.”
