I really want to be Athena in the play I'm doing this summer

But I've learned not to keep my hopes up. I also don't want the smart Alec/smart ass idea of me to be enforced. I am a short person with anger problems so yes I would be a good person to hate another character, But if I am Athena I will be playing the mother of the main character. But he doesn't know exactly in act 1 that Athena is his mom and he and his girlfriend mistakenly release Eris, who Athena abhors.
