sometimes you get so insane and unwell about a devastating dynamic between two characters that you invent an entirely different dynamic that is additionally achingly devastating because of said canon dynamic

anyway this post is about Apo and Pyro from vampires smp and my AU where Apo (& Drift) are the starting vampires

I’m thinking about aybets. (Are You Brave Enough To See?) the Apo and Drift starting vampire au

have u ever had an idea that just. grows legs? (Not necessarily any relation to legs legundo/silly)

because aybets did that

I came up with the idea. Then the girls needed backstory. Then I came up with more plot. Then the plot escalated to having a whole section post-Oakhurst

and then backstory got More Complicated

and that’s without addressing the fact that I haven’t really come up with that much for humans side of aybets, because everything kinda orbits around apo and drift to a slightly lesser extent

the aybets coven are gonna be significantly more redeemable/morally gray, in contrast with canon Scott and Owen who were just kinda evil on purpose

but that also means I have to be careful about what the human side is doing, because i definitely don’t want to villainize them. They’ll probably be a good chunk less aggressive for at least a while, because they take more time to learn about the local vampires and are less worried about said local vampires trying to eat them

…aybets Scott is still evil though.
