Ayden was waiting in the dark for this new player to come back. There had been a string of paid murders and this was her city, no one acted without her okay. She tapped the arm of the chair she was sitting in, he was taking a while.

Ayden sat at her desk, just watching the man in front of her. Neither has said anything for ten minutes. She knew what Raven had told her about Keigo and what Asuma and Katashi had told her of Hawks. She had seen the press conference and Dabi's video. Had Hayden hack the commission for their files on what this man had done for them.
The Phoenix was always prepared. A flaw perhaps, but it had kept her alive.
"So. You're willing to give up "Hawks" to be here?"

The child was standing, waiting, convinced that if she sat she would appear weak. She couldn't appear weak, this was her first solo job. The Boss had entrusted her with this. A rival gang had started to poke it's head into their business and she was to convince them to stop.
First step, asking nicely.
She was only fourteen, her brand still fresh on her back and waiting for Grace Shepard. The woman had an impressive operation and Ayden knew that if given the opportunity she could learn from her, though it seemed more likely that a fight would play out. Her boss wasn't the forgiving type.

Ayden paused at the top of the stairs, blinking at the scene before her. Kyubok was sitting in his normal spot, drawing something, and next to him was Kemberly. The other leader was watching her son, letting him draw in silence.
A comfortable silence.
She took a breath and texted River her decision before heading over to the boys. The assassin reached over to cup Kyuboks check before doing the same to Kemberly and heading back to the Nest. It would be his decision to follow.

Ayden leaned against her sons doorframe, watching him for a moment before knocking to make sure he knew she was there. There was a sense of pride that almost didn't feel earned when she looked at Theo.
"A stór. Dinner is ready and I've convinced your brother to come and join us."
Raging Fire.

Ayden always made sure she kept up on the work. She didn't want to be one of those people who left everything to those under her. And while the work may have changed over the years, she was still one of the best.
A body hit the floor, and she hummed softly, using the man's shirt to wipe his blood from her bostaff. It wasn't a clean death, Raven would have said, nor a fast one as Hawk would have said, but it was undeniable to anyone looking. The Phoenix had been here and this man must have done something terrible to earn her attention.
She stretched her back, turned and froze.
"Mister Song. Didn't hear you come in. What brings you to this...particular alley?"

"If you're here for a drink you're talking to the wrong person. You want the blond at the other end of the bar."

Ayden paused, sensing a threat and turning to look around. No one seemed like they'd be a problem, but then again. She didn't seem like a problem either.
