#ForwardFriday Ghana at 60 years of Independence will start its new decade with a new president and a new party after 8 years. President Elect Akufo-Addo has a long road ahead with Ghana in billions of dollars in loan debt to the IMF, and to be entrusted to dial back the unprecedented corruption that has pulled the nation down enough to be so sick and tired of being sick and tired that the citizenry decided that they wanted change and gave Akuffo-Addo the mandate to not have a run-off election for the first time in years in our short democracy, and to also give the majority of the seats in parliament to the NPP. President Elect Akuffo-Addo must use his 4 years wisely in not only correcting the wrongs of the past administration, but also getting to work immediately to do the people's work because waiting til election time to showcase development and work for the people will find him living the same fate as the man whose seat he has won. The people have awaken and the most neglected in the villages came out in record numbers to vote for a party who is often seen as the party of the rich, so they put their faith and fate in you by leaving party and tribe behind for the benefit of taking the nation forward! Change may take time, but there are things that can be put in motion right away -ie - Get that Woyome money back and don't make the mistake of sharing the national coiffures and contracts amongst your friends and family without anything to show for the people's investment! The ideas of turning to industrialization and manufacturing to create jobs is spot on and very much possible with the right leaders who know the world of business, management and nationally beneficial negotiation skills - the President-Elect and VP have said skills, knowledge and ability- it's just a matter of putting it to use for the benefit of the nation and its future!
