days left alone , four with no water save for whatever the rain had offered through filthy bars . no company , no speaking . just the screaming of others tortured  (  eaten alive  )  until heavy booted footsteps , they were heard before jacob was even visible . a simpering pratt kept off to the side , eyes averted .  ❛  you could have been more .  ❜  voice was low , words dragged against vocal cords .  ❜  you still could be , deputy . in order to thrive , in order for a pack to flourish the weak needs to be culled .  ❜  the large man towered over the cage . the lecture continued almost in a lazy drawl .   ❛  history knows the value of sacrifice , war takes away the lives of the many , protecting the lives of the few . it is no longer the other way around .  ❜  

a hand raised , finger pointing wagging a bit ,  ❛  you , deputy have the strength of will to slaughter , to kill for your beliefs . i've seen it . you are no innocent soul , you are no hero as those idiots in the county proclaim , blood stains your hands just as it does ours . now , the trick is to get you to change your ideals , the trick is to get you to follow orders . and luckily i have a way to do just that .  ❜  and at that the cage door yawned open , there were no other soldiers around . no weapon was drawn .  ❛  stand up , come with me .  ❜  the tone left room for no argument and while jacob felt more than secure enough if the other chose to attack , he would not walk in front . the deputy would lead .  ❛  straight ahead , toward the compound .  ❜  an order .

I KNOW, RIGHT??? have you read the book? i’d highly recommend it. i know people say it all the time, but the book is even better than the movie, and the movie was fucking phenomenal, so just imagine how good the book is!
