the Fennel and Juniper pics are from one of those quiz books! the same that provide a bunch of completely cracky Ghetsis and Hilbert. iirc technically the children pics are "not canon" though — the question was "where did they meet" and those are the illustrations for the possible answers (the right one being that they met at uni). CUTE AS HECK THOUGH

OH I SEE that makes sense. its a shame the kid ones arent canon but theyre SO CUTE… i love them and i support them being uni gfs

My first impressions of them: I HONESTLY DON’T REMEMBER WHOOPS. Guess she didn’t leave much of one off the bat. XDWhat I think of their design: She’s gorgeous. So gorgeous. And I love that there’s a slight edge to her prettiness - she really does come across hard and cold when she needs to be. Marion Everett’s descendant indeed.What I think of their role in the story: I love her whole involvement up to volume 14, and then she pretty much disappeared completely and my heart was broken. :( There should have been so much of her than there was - what was her reaction to Lariatte’s death and Lowood getting shut down after she’d fought so hard and dirtily to save it? Did she ever make peace about her hatred for Yvienne? Did she move on from Krohiten in a healthy manner? How about Jubilate, did their friendship survive her coronation or was she left totally alone with just Tenial and her daughter? I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS.What I think of their interactions with other characters: They’re honestly so fascinating. She’s so petty and frustrated with herself and loaded with a bunch of internalized misogyny, and on some level is aware of all that, but still takes it out on her relationships with women so easily (even if she hates herself for it). Jubilate’s really the only exception, I would’ve loved to know more about their friendship and how it developed. ALSO her super cute and sweet relationship with Daughter - I wish I knew how long she’d been working at Lowood. Exactly how much did she help raise him??? TELL ME.My favorite aspect of the character overall: When the chips are down, she really takes her responsibilities seriously, as a teacher and a queen. But also, she’s often tactless and kind of mean, but she’s rarely actually wrong. Never forget her outlining Yvienne’s greatest character flaw and eventual failures in volume 3 to a resounding ‘PFFT YOU’RE JUST JEALOUS LOL’.What could have been improved or changed with regards to the character: LET HER DO THINGS PAST VOLUME 14. This was a pretty big problem with most of the cast, but it’s really egregious with her.My number one wish for this character: DUMP TENIAL. INTO THE OCEAN. OFF A CLIFF. Then elope with Jubilate and take your daughter someone safe.
