I'm glad it was worth reading! I don't know that I've seen the Substack post: do you recall what it was called, or another way to reference? The website is a pain on my current computer (it's probably going to stop turning on soon, as it's old and was cheap), and the app similarly so (also, it continues to amaze me that 'chronological feed' isn't something they offer: assuming they want people who aren't drifting thoughtlessly to use it, only being able to sort by 'bad algorithm' or 'less bad algorithm' is bad for that. They seem to be trading off time-on-device for attractiveness to customers who might make it a more attractive platform, as I imagine the modal person who can write a top-tier Substack has better taste than their algorithm provides).
