This is the official blog for the appreciation week for the amazing Aiden Zhou, from the High School Story trilogy on Choices: Stories You Play! And soon we will be hosting our second annual event!

If your post is very long in length (eg. if it’s a long fic, has images that take up a lot of length), we highly recommend putting a “Read More” button in your post.
Any submissions that lean into NSFW or suggestive territory, and/or feature sensitive topics should be tagged accordingly.
You don’t have to create for each prompt or each day. Create for as many prompts and days as you like.

I haven't yet played past Blades 1, so I can't make any connections between Aiden and Valax as characters that may or may not exist, aside from that they both have “I am not cute” lines. But you know I’m more than happy put Aiden in Valax's cunty-AF Book 2 fit because it suits him hehe
I did want to also make Aiden a Blades elf for this too but that’s taking a while. Maybe in another post.

How do Aiden's friends react to his first pregnancy? Do they do anything special to show him (and Evie!) their excitement and support?

Submitting for @aidenzhouappreciationweek Day 2: Future + Day 6: Relationships/Family
Their friends and family members are exceedingly happy for them, and absolutely throw them an extra massive party.
It took a while for Aiden to figure out he likes the idea of getting pregnant + for him and Evie to open up about these desires, but by this point I think their Berry friends would be well aware of it and how important it is to them and how much it means that they could actually achieve it when it had formerly seemed completely impossible. Plus it’s kind of the Berry nature to cement a sense of community and solidarity.
So they'd throw a massive surprise party for the family, and they sure as hell enjoy it.
I like to think they set it up at Payton’s big-ass house, IDK yet how they’d cover the surprise, maybe they BS something like “Payton’s moving away so we’re having a going away party for her, but Payton says you don’t need to help with the party stuff you should focus on your pregnancy stuff and not stress yourselves out too much” (they’re all still super excited for them even before the party though).
The preparations are elaborate, but the celebrations are straightforward— they’d make them their favorite foods, maybe watch a few of their favorite movies, etc. They’d probably come up with a few baby/pregnancy themed party games too. I’m still figuring out a lot of the specific details, but the party is all about just generally showering them with love and collective support.
They also bring gifts for Evie, Aiden, Luna, and the upcoming new baby. They would make extra sure that Luna gets some love too. Some of the gifts would be pregnancy/baby themed, but they’d also make sure to get them standard kinds of gifts that’s just stuff they love.
how was aiden's pregnancy? did he have bad morningsickness, weird cravings, etc?

I definitely feel like Aiden’s second pregnancy would have been some level more difficult, being with twins (and ones that are a bit bigger than normal). Daniyal on the other hand is a very tiny baby (but it would still be a lot for Aiden to get used to, being his first pregnancy after all). Much later on in the second pregnancy, I imagine there would be some very strong backaches and chances are he would have to use a wheelchair for the rest of it. Unsurprisingly, Evie is more than happy to provide massages for backaches or any other cramps/aches.
Aiden I think would be very on top of staying hydrated and having an appropriate diet and would adapt well to any limitations and recommendations. But sometimes it can get exhausting when he has to avoid or feels nauseous towards a food he normally enjoys (In general I imagine he does know what his utmost favorites foods are, but doesn’t have a lot of food aversions like Evie does and his taste/diet is significantly more broadened). Also, Evie and his parents and Scott would be spoiling the shit out of him, especially when it comes to the dietary/nutritional. I imagine there are some days where Aiden craves something “less healthy”. I don’t think Aiden or Evie or anyone would make a big stink over him wanting to have something as a treat (unless it was something he should outright avoid during pregnancy at all costs like wine or sushi). But Evie can still get a bit weirded out by when Aiden craves some strange combination of foods (like the stereotypical “pickles and ice cream” combo).
I think the physical changes are also notable to talk about. Aiden likes having some fem-associated body features, but larger breasts is not one of those that he ever really saw for himself. His pre-pregnancy chest is slightly pronounced (for lack of better words) and he loves that Evie goes drooling crazy over it but he’s never felt like "I'd like them to be larger”. He’s a little more easy on the hip growth, since his hips are a feature he’s notably proud of (and Evie drools over them a lot too). His pre-pregnancy hips I imagine have a fair amount of shape/width to them and he has sometimes liked the idea of larger hips, but it’s also not something he felt he needed to have. In general I think he's still sometimes unsure if the look he gets from those changes (particularly the larger chest/breasts) is "for him”, but he does accept it as like an expected and important outcome from the pregnancy, plus it's not a look he hates. (Evie is also no less attracted, and that does make him feel a tad better about it.)
I think he feels semi-awkward about the belly. He doesn’t find it a bad look for him by default, but he does become a lot more sensitive about what kinds of clothes he wears or what kinds of things he does. The clothes HAVE to be flattering and not awkward, for instance. When he’s bigger (past 4-5 months with the twins) he also refuses to do any dancing that isn’t ballroom/waltz. And also as he grows bigger (particularly with the twins) he becomes very averse to non-slipon shoes and most pants and anything that involves him to bend forward a lot in order to put the item on. Granted Evie is more than happy to help him out with that kind of stuff, but he still prefers dressing+undressing to be as easy and less-fussy as possible.
Apparently herbal tea– especially peppermint tea– is really good for treating morning sickness. Peppermint tea is a very special thing for them in their relationship because of that one premium scene in Book 2 Ch 3 where we can have a lunch date with Aiden, where the drink he brings is a family tradition peppermint tea (it was canonically the first thing his grandparents tried when they first came to the US). So I'm just imagining Evie loves making it for him when he's pregnant (bonus points if any of his pregnancies go over winter since the tea was specifically a winter tradition, but I’m still figuring out the kids’ conception and birth dates).

I haven't thought about this as thoroughly yet, so I don’t have much in the way of headcanons... but I feel like he would, most especially after giving birth to the twins. If I’m not mistaken it’s more likely for twins to require a C-section birth, so Aiden would likely be recovering from that on top of everything else. But even if not, giving birth to the twins still would have been difficult on him (honestly carrying them in general has been particularly demanding).
I think he manages the postpartum symptoms for the most part with both pregnancies, but adapting to all the changes would still be very difficult on him. I think he would definitely struggle quite a bit with emotional instability and postpartum anxiety and worrying a lot about something going critically wrong. Possibly having an amplified fear of failure. I can mayyyybe even see him having some postpartum depression, though I imagine it’d be mild and not anything too severe or long-term.
Evie of course is there to help him manage, as are Scott, Glen, Bridget, and Adelaide, and maybe a few other of their family members and Berry friends. So that of course does ease things for him.
For @aidenzhouappreciationweek Day 1: Music Man Aiden and Day 6: Relationships/Romance
So in the premium scene where MC can listen to Aiden play piano, there's this whole bit where Aiden talks about how excited he was as a kid about the recording of his first recital where he plays his favorite song, only to reveal he's long since taped over it because he remembers things through music rather than through videos or pictures.
However, sometime later on when he plays the song for himself again, he records it for Evie. And puts it in some kind of item, like a keychain or a plush toy that has a sound box. Mayhaps as a birthday gift, or a Christmas/New Years/Winter Holidays gift.
Even though he doesn’t associate memories with objects or recordings quite as strongly as Evie does, he still respects that she does and understands how much this interaction probably means for her, and he understands how physical items and recordings can be strong memory associations for her. So he figures this would be a nice little gift… and it probably goes without saying she absolutely treasures it.
Context: that piano scene in the game is the moment in my headcanons where Evie first started to feel real romantic attraction to Aiden, it was the spark for her. I imagine at some point, some way some how, she brings that up to him. She may or may not mention how strongly she remembers how he plays the song and how significant that was to her. She even maybe mentions that she's listened to other recordings of the song, it took her right back to the memory but it wasn't quite the same listening to it from there.
IDK if she brings this up prior to Aiden giving the gift. But even if she doesn’t bring it up, Aiden would still get the sense that that meeting was important to her (as well as it being pretty important to him as well).
