This fandom has been special to me since the day I joined it. One of my favorite things about this fandom was all the events that there are. It's a lot of fun to find inspiration in monthly challenges or coming together to celebrate a book or character. -18- beloved or important items or property
In the grand scheme of things, I think Aiden isn't super big on important material objects? Because in canon, Aiden remembers things through music rather than physical/visual items. Which is why in canon he recorded over the tape of his first recitalâ it was an important moment to him, but he doesn't need the tape in order to remember it.
That being said, I think he would have some items that are dear to him.
Obvious answers are his instruments, any music award trophies. And his favorite outfits. And stuff Evie gifts him. In fact, some fairly significant gifts from Evie are these necklaces.
The double-hearts one was a 1-year dating anniversary gift and the single-heart one with the treble clef was a birthday present, both given during the HSS:CA timeline.
In a general sense I think Aiden's most treasured physical items would tend to be gift items rather than items that hold memories. In that case it's less so about preserving a memory and moreso about what the physical item symbolizes/representsâ in the case of gifts it represents expressing care for the giftee. And Evie is someone who loves to spoil him with all sorts of gifts that he likes.
That being said, I do think there might be some memory-associated things he holds close to himself too. Mainly because Evie preserves memories through a wide range of thingsâ direct recording, associating with objects, and associating with sensory/mediaâ and while it isn't his thing, he understands how important it is to Evie and so he considers it important to him too in a way. Itâs just not his primary/preferred manner of preserving memories.

-3- childhood
Iâm still figuring out a lot of childhood headcanons for Aiden, and for characters in general. We seriously needed more than one trilogy for the OG group, and the extent to which we learn about the Llsâ familial relationships and home lives is easily the biggest indicator of that lol. But here are the headcanons I have so far, letâs see what we can speculate from what we were given.
Starting off with the relationship with his parents. Something interesting is that Aiden's interest in music seems to be a result of his own personal passion and interest rather than his parents pushing it onto him. Heck, he apparently had to beg for 2 years to even get music lessons in the first place.
Kinda begs the question also, as to why they held off on giving him music lessons, as well as confiscating his instruments and forcing him to quit band as a punishment for the sled incident (Bridget says that itâs because the sled incident happened for a band fundraiser). Classical music is often associated with high status and respectability.
My guess is that Aidenâs parents are the type who see music as lesser (in comparison to something like STEM) because itâs more artistic? Although in the scene they are mostly concerned about. they also bring up concern about Aiden âslacking offâ in musicâ in the scene where MC visits Aidenâs house, they comment that he hasnât been spending as much time practicing music being ânot like him at allâ. I believe they also comment on him âshirking his responsibilities to goof off with his friendsâ as what caused the sled incident and his suspension.
I think they assume that, if he seems to be âslacking offâ in music-related things in any wayâ whether not practicing as much, or supposedly not paying attention while running an activity for a band fundraiser (leading to someone getting injured in said activity)â they think that must mean heâs not truly invested in band, that he wonât be perfect or exceptional at it, that heâs regressing in it. That music is a waste of his time if heâs not putting in the effort to be perfect. That he should be spending his time with other, âmore importantâ things instead. Which I think also checks out since his canonically biggest fear is failureâ more on that in the next section since you asked about his fears.
Thatâs not to say Aiden didnât have or wasnât allowed to indulge in things outside of music. He canonically enjoys rollerskatingâ having grown to it after having been to quite a few birthday parties. He canonically enjoys Starfall comics (mentioned only in one of his scenes with Cameron and something I wanna integrate more). I mention later that Myra gets him into the show Lisa Mermaid.
I headcanon he also has a huge collection of character toysâ plushies, dolls, action figures, etcâ and that one of his favorite games to play with them was to pretend he was in concert while practicing/rehearsing his music and set up the toys into a little audience. Heâd even make some fake concert tickets to give to each of his toys, and his parents too if he felt like it. His favorite toy I headcanon is some kind of plush kitty, either a grey or black or purple one. IDK yet how exactly it looks like, but I think he would name it Meowzart. Speaking of which, more on his pets later.
Also interesting is that Aiden says this about his parents, in regards to how they punish him and how they accuse MC/Evie and friends of being bad influences:
So I think while they feel like they lean into being strict and pro-perfectionism, theyâre also far from being, like, over-strictparents. To an extent they strike me as kinda naive, or at least not used to Aiden stepping outside his comfort zone. And Aiden in the past has not had much difficulty with staying focused on music and studies, and has gotten along well enough with his parents, but he still internalized a huge perfectionist mindset from them.
I also headcanon that they are generally supportive of queer rights, as there doesnât seem to be any dialogue changes with his parents for a male MC. While possibly a result of gender blind writing, I think it does make sense given Aidenâs parents have canonically been friends with Maria's dads for a long time. Aiden I think might indirectly come out as bi in either middle school or early high school, though I havenât fully decided for this. But the point is, when he does talk being attracted to more than just girls, he does feel comfortable with doing so, and itâs no big deal in the end.
The Sex Talk^TM and Aidenâs genderqueer awakening are a different matter however. I elaborate on the sex talk a bit more here.
As for his genderqueer awakening, I think Aidenâs parents have a more difficult time with forms of queerness that are more "unusual" or "unconventional" (not sure how to word it) to them. Like I'd imagine they'd have their shit together a bit better if their kid came out as gay/bi/lesbian as they're familiar with Maria's dads, but have no idea how to handle their kid coming out as trans/nonbinary/genderqueer/etc. Especially not if that includes a shift in personality and a more revealing dress style. I don't think they'd quite have a shitfit over it, but they would be a bit panicky and naive and unintentionally pathologizing sometimes, and not fully supportive right off the bat.
Aiden says parents also make a point about his friends (in the storyâs main friend group) being âbad influencesâ, which brings me to my headcanons about his friends. I headcanon in childhood Aiden did not have a lot of friends, albeit less so because of his parents being restrictive and more so because of his social awkwardness and focus on music. Maybe his parents might have had restrictive tendencies, but Aiden might not have gotten the chance to experience that until Book 2.
My headcanon is heâs been best friends with Myra since 2nd grade (1st grade for her), and Ezra since mid middle school. Aidenâs parents I think did not make too big a deal of them perhaps since they also had an interest in music, but maybe every now and then they might have had doubts.
Iâm still developing my specific headcanons for their friendships, but I imagine Myra and Ezra would often help Aiden with socializing and trying new things. Helping him pick outfits for special events, encouraging him to make new friends or even pursue someone he has a fleeting crush on (to pretty much no avail, though he did get invited to a handful of birthday parties for classmates hence his canonical enjoyment of rollerskating), introducing him to new shows/media, etc. Myra gets Aiden into the Lisa Mermaid show (see: Hollywood U), and it becomes a semi-guilty pleasure for himâ he loves the songs and had a crush on Aria Starfish.
Aiden might also have been somewhat close with Maria since her dads and his parents have canonically been close⊠but chances are not much progress was made in that area, I think maybe they did get along in early childhood but eventually got their own friends.
I think Aiden might also have some familiarity with Caleb and Nishan as theyâre both related to his best friends, but he likely didnât become close friends with them, especially judging by how little they interact in the early Book, and in Ch3 itâs stated that of the group that gets together with MC to find Caleb (Emma, Aiden, Maria, Michael, Julian), only Julian really knows Caleb, implying there is some distance.
I can see Aiden and Nishan (and Sakura) hanging out a couple of times. I have some headcanons about Aiden being shit at most video games here. But even then, they donât become too close until the trilogy timeline.
Probably also important factor is Aiden being autistic (he reads as very autistic coded in canon imo, my analysis of this is currently WIP). I kinda headcanon he probably doesn't get diagnosed until at least sometime in adulthood (but I could change this headcanon later on, depending on which feels more organic). But just to note, I feel like it might also have a role with his dedicated interest in music, his perfectionist mindset, and his fear of failure.
Aiden in the trilogy is mentioned to canonically have a dog. I headcanon this dog is a German Shepherd named Wolfgang. They adopted him when Aiden was in second grade, and to the surprise of no one, Aiden was the one who insisted on the name.
I headcanon Aiden loves both dogs and cats, but does have more of an affinity towards cats.
However, his parents are more experienced with dogs, and Aiden arguably is tooâ one scene in Book 3 shows his parents mentioning Aiden promised to take care of a neighborâs dog, I headcanon he and his family might have been doing that for years. At some point, little Aiden had started begging his parents for a cat, but they werenât sure about a cat since they didnât have as much experience. But when his parents did want to get a pet, they did talk about preferring a dog with Aiden before adopting. Aiden was okay with it, though he still preferred a cat.
Aiden does eventually get to have a pet cat. Sometime around the end of Book 2, his parents surprise him with the adoption of a little black kitten that Aiden names Meowzart because he canât help himself.
-21- fears
In canon, Aiden's biggest fear is failure.
I talk about that a little bit here. And⊠yeah I think that and the bit in the childhood section covers that fairly well.
I will say though that I will be highlighting Aidenâs (and Evieâs) fear of failure in the Book 2 portion of the adaptation. Not gonna spoil or exposition anything, but letâs just say it makes certain later dialogue between the two have some interesting potential implications.
-32- toxic traits
Not sure if this quiiiiite counts, but Aiden can be a rather stuck-up snob sometimes, I like to think. I get that vibe from him. And I love it for him.
For all the low self-esteem tendencies he can have, he does also seem to think quite highly of himself in certain moments. He's not ragingly boastful (like say Alan), but he puts a lot of importance on his music and his musical abilities. And it is easy for him to start thinking lesser of himself when things go wrong.
Lest we forget those moments where he was a straight up asshole. Oh you think saxophones suck? He has zero tolerance for that shit. Youâre kinda messy at band tryouts? Time to make a comment about how youâre just making up alternate parts to the song! Motherfucker can have zero filter sometimes, especially if other people are not quite at his level of performance or enjoyment of music. Even if theyâre inexperienced or not actively involved in it!
I haven't yet played past Blades 1, so I can't make any connections between Aiden and Valax as characters that may or may not exist, aside from that they both have âI am not cuteâ lines. But you know Iâm more than happy put Aiden in Valax's cunty-AF Book 2 fit because it suits him hehe

For Aiden, it's mostly easy but not too easy. Aiden is very easily stimulated, even during non-intercourse or foreplay he has a lot of erogenous zones, so it's very easy to get him going. But it still takes a fair amount of effort to actually bring him to climax.
Aiden can cum multiple times, he does still have to deal with the refractory period but I imagine they can be fairly short for him.

Technically yes for Evie, though this perception of herself is not something she has on her mind often. It's kind of a mixed bag for her.
On one hand she can be very picky about which features of her are seen as desirable. And she does prefer it to be the features and traits that are given attention on men- her muscles, her physical strength, her hands, her forearms, her shoulders, her dick (by which I of course mean her strap, but it's very affirming and euphoric for her to hear it referred to as her dick/cock). Or if it's features that are usually associated with sexual desirability on women, there should be some kind of masc twist on it-- like she'll accept the occasional comment on her butt (and even then only once in a blue moon) if it's about how square-shaped or rock hard muscle it is, or comments on her hips if it's about how narrow and/or vertical slope they are.
Any attempts by her to "look sexy" also would of course be the kinds of things attributed to sex appeal in men-- shirtless/open shirt with standard jeans or shorts, swim trunks and boxers (preferably ones with fun colors or patterns), showing off her physical strength, dances primarily centric on forwards hip-thrusting, dick pics, you name it. So she often does not like to think of or present herself as desirable or sexy, so as to lessen the possibility that her body is made the center of attention. As for Aiden... hell yes. Evie letting him know every 5 minutes kinda helped a lot with that. Even prior to that though, this motherfucker has canonically used his own looks as song inspiration before. He's tried to be humble/modest about it, but he knows how hot he is haha.
does Aiden have a skincare/haircare routine đ if he does, how rigorous is he about it?

I feel like Aiden would have very basic but rigorously consistent routines for his skin and hair. He doesn't do anything overkill, just the necessary things to maintain healthy skin and hair. Plus he can be very attentive to his appearance, and he does like a regular routine.
He does also prefer to clean-shave any facial and body hair- but he's not gonna go overkill on that either. Like it's not a big deal if he has a bit of visible leg hair on a day he wants to wear his swimsuit or short shorts or one of his leg slit gowns.
Aiden would also share Evie's love for stuff like fragranced lotions/oils and other scented body products. Usually reserving them for special occasions like formal events, concerts, or dates with Evie (but he can use them almost any time he's in the mood for it). I don't have a properly thorough list yet, but I imagine he's particularly fond of lavender, (wild) rose, (eucalyptus) mint, citrus, coconut, and cherry blossom scents.

Luna: Is much closer to Evie, shares more interests with Evie, definitely looks up to her more. She's very shy, and neither I nor Aidevie quite know what it is about Evie that draws Luna to her.
Daniyal: Mega Daddy's Boy. Looks up to him massively and loves to copy almost everything he does, from classical music to cunty fem styles. Though later on he does become less musically inclined and more feminine-presenting.
Aisha and Ella: I've mainly pictured Aisha as a Mommy's Girl and Ella as a Daddy's Girl, but honestly I think they both waver. Sometimes Aisha and Ella will fight over Aiden's attention, sometimes they will fight over Evie's attention. I see them mostly taking after Evie, especially in sports, though I can see at least one being into music like Aiden. I haven't fully figured out yet who takes after who or who looks up to who more.

Their friends and family members are exceedingly happy for them, and absolutely throw them an extra massive party.
It took a while for Aiden to figure out he likes the idea of getting pregnant + for him and Evie to open up about these desires, but by this point I think their Berry friends would be well aware of it and how important it is to them and how much it means that they could actually achieve it when it had formerly seemed completely impossible. Plus itâs kind of the Berry nature to cement a sense of community and solidarity.
So they'd throw a massive surprise party for the family, and they sure as hell enjoy it.
I like to think they set it up at Paytonâs big-ass house, IDK yet how theyâd cover the surprise, maybe they BS something like âPaytonâs moving away so weâre having a going away party for her, but Payton says you donât need to help with the party stuff you should focus on your pregnancy stuff and not stress yourselves out too muchâ (theyâre all still super excited for them even before the party though).
The preparations are elaborate, but the celebrations are straightforwardâ theyâd make them their favorite foods, maybe watch a few of their favorite movies, etc. Theyâd probably come up with a few baby/pregnancy themed party games too. Iâm still figuring out a lot of the specific details, but the party is all about just generally showering them with love and collective support.
They also bring gifts for Evie, Aiden, Luna, and the upcoming new baby. They would make extra sure that Luna gets some love too. Some of the gifts would be pregnancy/baby themed, but theyâd also make sure to get them standard kinds of gifts thatâs just stuff they love.

I haven't thought about this as thoroughly yet, so I donât have much in the way of headcanons... but I feel like he would, most especially after giving birth to the twins. If Iâm not mistaken itâs more likely for twins to require a C-section birth, so Aiden would likely be recovering from that on top of everything else. But even if not, giving birth to the twins still would have been difficult on him (honestly carrying them in general has been particularly demanding).
I think he manages the postpartum symptoms for the most part with both pregnancies, but adapting to all the changes would still be very difficult on him. I think he would definitely struggle quite a bit with emotional instability and postpartum anxiety and worrying a lot about something going critically wrong. Possibly having an amplified fear of failure. I can mayyyybe even see him having some postpartum depression, though I imagine itâd be mild and not anything too severe or long-term.
Evie of course is there to help him manage, as are Scott, Glen, Bridget, and Adelaide, and maybe a few other of their family members and Berry friends. So that of course does ease things for him.

I definitely feel like Aidenâs second pregnancy would have been some level more difficult, being with twins (and ones that are a bit bigger than normal). Daniyal on the other hand is a very tiny baby (but it would still be a lot for Aiden to get used to, being his first pregnancy after all). Much later on in the second pregnancy, I imagine there would be some very strong backaches and chances are he would have to use a wheelchair for the rest of it. Unsurprisingly, Evie is more than happy to provide massages for backaches or any other cramps/aches.
Aiden I think would be very on top of staying hydrated and having an appropriate diet and would adapt well to any limitations and recommendations. But sometimes it can get exhausting when he has to avoid or feels nauseous towards a food he normally enjoys (In general I imagine he does know what his utmost favorites foods are, but doesnât have a lot of food aversions like Evie does and his taste/diet is significantly more broadened). Also, Evie and his parents and Scott would be spoiling the shit out of him, especially when it comes to the dietary/nutritional. I imagine there are some days where Aiden craves something âless healthyâ. I donât think Aiden or Evie or anyone would make a big stink over him wanting to have something as a treat (unless it was something he should outright avoid during pregnancy at all costs like wine or sushi). But Evie can still get a bit weirded out by when Aiden craves some strange combination of foods (like the stereotypical âpickles and ice creamâ combo).
I think the physical changes are also notable to talk about. Aiden likes having some fem-associated body features, but larger breasts is not one of those that he ever really saw for himself. His pre-pregnancy chest is slightly pronounced (for lack of better words) and he loves that Evie goes drooling crazy over it but heâs never felt like "I'd like them to be largerâ. Heâs a little more easy on the hip growth, since his hips are a feature heâs notably proud of (and Evie drools over them a lot too). His pre-pregnancy hips I imagine have a fair amount of shape/width to them and he has sometimes liked the idea of larger hips, but itâs also not something he felt he needed to have. In general I think he's still sometimes unsure if the look he gets from those changes (particularly the larger chest/breasts) is "for himâ, but he does accept it as like an expected and important outcome from the pregnancy, plus it's not a look he hates. (Evie is also no less attracted, and that does make him feel a tad better about it.)
I think he feels semi-awkward about the belly. He doesnât find it a bad look for him by default, but he does become a lot more sensitive about what kinds of clothes he wears or what kinds of things he does. The clothes HAVE to be flattering and not awkward, for instance. When heâs bigger (past 4-5 months with the twins) he also refuses to do any dancing that isnât ballroom/waltz. And also as he grows bigger (particularly with the twins) he becomes very averse to non-slipon shoes and most pants and anything that involves him to bend forward a lot in order to put the item on. Granted Evie is more than happy to help him out with that kind of stuff, but he still prefers dressing+undressing to be as easy and less-fussy as possible.
Apparently herbal teaâ especially peppermint teaâ is really good for treating morning sickness. Peppermint tea is a very special thing for them in their relationship because of that one premium scene in Book 2 Ch 3 where we can have a lunch date with Aiden, where the drink he brings is a family tradition peppermint tea (it was canonically the first thing his grandparents tried when they first came to the US). So I'm just imagining Evie loves making it for him when he's pregnant (bonus points if any of his pregnancies go over winter since the tea was specifically a winter tradition, but Iâm still figuring out the kidsâ conception and birth dates).

Honestly I can see him having been like that. He does say in one scene his biggest fear is failure, that he always felt a lot of pressure to be the best of the best, and he doesn't want MC to see him screw up and close the door on him. We've see how he was at odds with Ezra in Book 1 and was pushing really hard to use his new song for marching band, and how he saw himself as a failure when the halftime performance didn't work.
I can see a possible competitive mindset behind this. Kind of in the sense of to be considered exceptional for his music. Granted he does seem to be generally very confident in his skills, but he may perceive any shortcoming in the field as failure-- specifically as regression or stagnation, feeling like because he was exceptional at music as a kid he should still be exceptional at it as he's older, having the feeling that if he stops being the number 1 best he'll be nothing.
