We Can’t Always Share Experiences in Life with Another So we have to enjoy the moments while we can Alone, if we must; together, would be nice But still go out and per chance dance with sun Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one morning in the San Antonio area while taking in view of the April 2023 annular solar eclipse. The view is looking to the southeast during the ring of fire portion. To capture this image, I watched this video on YouTube for notes (www.youtube.com/watch?v=275onafcdCY&list=WL&index...). I used my Nikon D850 SLR camera with a Nikon - AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5 -5.6G ED VR and a Thousand Oaks Optical solar filter I had ordered several months prior. The way I exposed the image was to set my camera in M mode, use an f/5.6 aperture, put the ISO from AUTO and dial it up to 3200 (making finer adjustments later), and a shutter speed of 1/125. Given partly cloudy skies I was looking at to see this, shutter speed was lower than I had expected but using a tripod with camera remote helped with any longer exposures. Needless to say, I am so ready for April 2024 when I plan on using a Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD!
