Azog’s Revenge // Thorin & Azog // DOS AU
Thorin had been fully healed by Lady Galadriel by the time Gandalf had led the dwarves and Bilbo to the edge of the forest where Beorn’s home lay. She and Lord Elrond had parted company with all of them, and made their way back toward Rivendell. She told Gandalf to watch over the Dwarf King and his company, and assured all of them they would no longer be hunted by the Pale Orc. Or, she hoped they would not. Thorin was still quite skeptical about traveling to this strange beings home. He knew nothing about this Beorn, the skin changer, Gandalf had called him.
Gandalf sighed and shook his head at Thorin’s words, and he hoped the skin changer would surely welcome them, but he had left out an important factor. “I did not tell you all before when the Elves were here, but, Beorn is not overly fond of dwarves. So, we will have to be careful,” he told them, and then gasped when he thought he heard the sounds of Warg’s howling in the distance. He looked to the others, but could see they had not heard anything.
“What do you mean he is not overly fond of dwarves. I swear to Durin’s beard, Gandalf, you really are not a very honest wizard. Are you leading us into more peril?” Thorin challenged the wizard, and then gasped when he heard the sounds of Warg’s howling far back from where they had just come, deep in the forests around them. “Did you hear that?” he asked, as he stared around at everyone, then up at the worried looking wizard. “Do you think that is - could that be Azog. I thought Lady Galadriel said he would not be pursuing us,” he voiced, as he glared up at the wizard.
“I do not know if it is Azog, it could just be some stray warg’s, and a normal Orc pack. But, I would suggest we move swiftly toward Beorn’s house. It will be better than being out here in the open. All of you, run, quickly, follow me!” Gandalf ordered, when the howling became louder, and shouting in black speech could be heard.
“Just be silent and run, Thorin Oakenshield. You have your sword, I suggest you all keep them to hand,” the wizard warned them, and ignored the angry looks Thorin was giving him. He just sighed ass he pushed him and the other dwarves ahead of him. He would stay to the back of the entire company, just to keep them safe from any harm. Should it be Azog and his pack of Orcs, he would use his wizard staff to keep them away from Thorin. He knew if the Pale Orc had been set free, then Thorin would be in danger. What he did not know was they were much closer than he realised.
“You had better be right, Wizard, this is not good at all! If that is Azog, and he catches me, I am as good as dead this time! Keep moving, all of you, run!” Thorin called out, and grunted when Gandalf just stared down at him, and he was pushed in front of the wizard. He called to his company to move quickly, but his body was still not fully healed, and he could feel his legs starting to give out on him. As the howling of the Warg’s sounded much closer, he gasped and ran as fast as he could. He hoped to Mahal the Pale Orc was not hot on his trail again, for he feared what he would do to him, should he fell back into his clutches again
