dwarves are so unbelievably strong tf you mean thorin, a man barely five feet tall, sliced off a gundabad orc's arm in one swipe. bone and all??? forget about elves and wizards man dwarves are terrifying.
thorin accepting his fate
I keep thinking about the fact that Thorin probably thought Kili had survived.
He saw Fili die, they all did. But Thorin most likely thought that at least kili would still have a chance to survive the battle. He didn't see him in his final moments, he was busy with his own fight against Azog.
What did he feel when he got to Mahal hall's and saw both of his nephews already waiting there for him...
Would he feel disappointed? Angry? Perhaps even guilty? Or sad?
Thorin vanquishing Azog 🗡️
This whole fight scene is a masterpiece.
And needless to say, he lives.
As do Fili and Kili.
Rewatching The Hobbit trilogy in hour long chunks like a miniseries.
"Episode 9" The Last Stage
Pretty much sums up the series as a whole. Cozy, grand, and full of personality at its best. Chaotic, unfocused, and over-the-top at its worst.
