I decided to go all in and make an external poll with no fewer than 24 different options., to allow people a lot of autonomy. Please vote!

Every single option is based on something I've seen in fanfiction or at least something I've seen discussed.

Note that for the purpose of this poll, we are ignoring the comics. Vote based on your perception of Zuko in the show.

Scenario: you have been iseaki into Katara’s body the day of the Agni Kai, moments after defeating Azula. She is chained to the grate, having her nervous breakdown. Zuko knows getting on your bad side means getting on the Avatar’s bad side, you have the opportunity to say something about what to do with Azula. What do you do?

Nothing. Let canon proceed as canon proceeds.

You tell Zuko Azula deserves to be tried for her crimes and, if guilty, imprison

You ask Zuko if there is a place for containing “crazy people”

You tell Zuko something is wrong with Azula and she needs compassion and healing

You send him away to get a blanket/towel and try to calm Azula down

You wait until Aang arrives to ask him to remove Azula’s bending

You tell Zuko he needs to “disown” Azula/strip of rank/title at his corronation

You wait for Aang and tell them that if Zuko deserved a chance so does Azula

Due to the inflammatory nature of the poll I previously re-blog, and my suspicion is that the OP might start blocking people replying to it, I would like to use this pole as a space for people to discuss their opinions on how Azula should have been treated That day, once the battle was over.

I’m putting you into Katara‘s head for the scenario because after the lengths that Zuko went to gain her trust (or at least get her to stop threatening him) it’s clear he knows how important she is to his supposed redemption, and of course because you via Katara are someone that Aang would trust 100%, he values and respects his best friend/love/Sifu/healing master opinion. feel free to talk in the comments but I’d prefer you do it in the re-blogs because I’d love to re-blog your opinions here for preservation. We're assuming that Aang and Zuko are dead (but Zuko dying isn't directly Azula's fault), and with the war won and Zuko dead Ozai doesn't really care about the girls at all anymore, so Azula can do what she wants about them.

Also, to be clear, Azula freeing them would not necessarily mean Azula trying to take them back into her service or resuming her friendship with them, although it might.
