Hot Take perhaps, but if someone says "doubles/sourcemates dni" people should respect it.
While we don't believe in doubles in the sense of "it's the same alter in different headpaces" and find the assumption the source makes all introjects the same completely false, I think it's no one's business to be mad about it.
If someone does not wish to interact with another alter with the same source or from the same source material (sourcemates), it's their right to do so and it takes no time to respect that.
We have some headmates in the system which heavily dislike even seeing anything from the same source/source media of their own, yet alone interact with those sharing the same source or the like. Even if the alter is source separated. And they don't.
In fact we, as a system, try to respect that and not interact with the source material at all even, if that causes too much problems.
Of course we don't ditch systems we already know which happen to have "sourcemates/doubles", but the headmates never have to interact with them and that's fine.
It's fine to have boundaries and it's also fine to respect them.
Of course nobody can control their source and nobody should feel ashamed for it, but perhaps that wouldn't work out anyways and blocking is always an option for either party. Triggers or simply being uncomfortable isn't something anyone can control, yet also nobody should get hated for their source (of course)
