I know that “baby” is a very popular and common petname between couples but it skeeves me out so bad that sometimes I legit can’t read the fic when the characters start throwing it around. I’m sorry to all the wonderful fics out that that I DNF’d because the use of “baby” as a term of endearment.

Adults using the pet name baby makes my skin crawl. It just sounds whiny and like you’re trying way to hard.
