Everyone in the whole world is stuck in a time loop but because it’s everyone and we go about our day as if it’s the next one and we remember everything and are affecting each other differently no one really notices at first except how the weather literally never changes and a few other things that never stay  permanent (fixing the fence or what have you), this of course works best in a pre digital setting. It’s a lot easier to think you forgot to turn the calendar than it is to see the same date on your phone for a week straight

I had a dream where my parents were hiding from me that I used to be a child actor in a tv show (as my mom’s daughter, so they were also hiding that my mom used to be in a tv show) and that it was a post apocalyptic scifi also starring Zoe Saldana (who, in the dream I knew my parents had known once upon a time but I assumed it was fleeting “I met her once!” And not “we worked together for three years on a tv show”) but the more I dug into the records of the show, finding stills and footage, the more the real world started to become that post apocalyptic universe.
Something about me remembering was tearing apart the fabric of the universe but I was still mostly upset that no one told me I had union acting credits and in fact could have used this to bolster my career this whole time and I had to join SAG the hard way the second time around
I’m so tired of the “why do people hate aspecs, they aren’t doing anything?” argument. I know that it is an attempt to support us, but it fails so spectacularly to understand aromanticism, asexuality, and any other aspec identity that it’s actively frustrating.
We are doing something. We’re rejecting allonormative ideals and that’s a massive thing to do. We’re actively fighting not just to help other aspecs, but to help everyone, because amatonormativity (and allonormativity as a whole) hurt everyone. Single people who want to find a partner but can’t also deserve to be able to exist.
There are so many issues with the expectation of marriage, including:
A single income isn't enough to get by anymore
Having a spouse is almost necessary under the current medical system
Society shames and pressures people who are single to get into relationships constantly
Rejecting allonormativity means fighting against these things that hurt everyone.
So, no, aces and aros and other aspecs aren't "doing nothing." We're doing quite a lot.

Why am I so sore, I think to myself, having completely forgotten going to the gym earlier today for the first time in months
got the bus back home today and it was my fav bus driver, he let me on for free. went to tap my card but he just said 'beep!' and was like on you go. lol. then he nearly ran a red light and slammed on the breaks, almost sending the gaggle of older ladies at the front careening to the ground. he had to slam on the breaks and jolt the whole bus a second time later in the route because of a rogue lollypop man who'd come out because of roadworks. one of the old ladies said 'am glad ave nae got any eggs! ha ha!' and everyone on the bus laughed jovially. kind of a sitcomesque bus journey
This has the vibe of “and then everybody clapped” fake story but one that I wholeheartedly believe happened
