not comic related but what are your top favorite novelists and books to read? And what type of genres do you prefer?

I used to read a lot of books in middle and high school before I joined the military, but ever since I actually haven’t read an entire full book, which I hate about myself. I dunno, I think it’s because we weren’t allowed to bring anything with us, so I spent a long time without reading books, so I got used to that.

I remember I used to love all the Percy Jacksons books (still do actually). I do like YA novels in general, but to me a good YA novel is one in a million hidden gems, you need to read a million special snowflake white girl protagonist who is beautiful but doesn’t know that she’s beautiful and has an asshole love interest who smirks a lot, before you find yourself an actual good novel.

I like the PJ books for that, they are unbelievable funny, but still action-filled and plot-focused. The romance there was just the right amount and better handled than other YA books, not to mention all the fantasy elements in it.

I guess you can say I like fantasy novels, but I’m very particular with them, I don’t like over the top Dungeons & Dragons type fantasy, just a graceful amount with solid world building is enough for me to carry the story alongside the characters and plot.

Away from the adventurous supernatural stories, I do enjoy other genres such as suspense, thriller and tragedy. Dark stories where the protagonist has a miserable life and they try to fight the system,  but really bad circumstances happens to them that just keep getting worse everyday to the point where they almost give up on their goal and then they snap out of it at the last moment and get what they want after so many hardships. Ya feel  me?

I miss you

Year one: Sighing softly as he looked at the tombstone, he shook his head, there was no reason why a young woman with such a bright future ahead of her should be here in a graveyard.”Madame, I’m so sorry we couldn’t, I couldn’t do more to help you, keep you safe.” He remembered the first time he tended her wounds, watched as she took the mantle of Batgirl. “We’ll take care of Master Grayson, I promise.” 

Year Five: “I’ve kept my promise, Master Grayson is doing better. Not quite back to his old self yet, but me and Master Wayne do what we can to keep his spirits up.” Smiling a little, a bit of sad in the smile though. “I go to lunch with your father now and then, he’s doing good. He’s finally get out and about. He’s almost forgiven himself.” 

Year Ten: “Barb, I miss you, and that beautiful smile. I know not, not a day goes buy where I don’t think of you. And I just want you to know that things are finally going well, we all miss you, but it’s brought us all a bit closer I think. I hope.” Nodding his head a little. “Your dad is happy, he smiled again for the first time. I think for the first time since you’ve passed things are looking up. Just know though the’d be better if you were here, and deep down we all miss you, more than anything.”

♝ : Reading a book together-Rose

The shop was closed, it had been closed for a while, but it was a colder day and Natalia had the shop’s fire going and was sitting on one of her favorite big chairs with the fire going. She looked over at the one patron still left. Rose sat there with a book in her hands as well. She smiled at the girl next to her content in the silence of their exciting worlds that they were exploring separately but together. The silence was comfortable and the air was warm as they sat side by side on the couch. She felt the girl dozing off a bit against her shoulder and smirked leaning her head down to rest on the top of Rose’s white hair. This was good.

2. Does your character have a deep and/or dark secret? If so, what is it?

Stephen’s biggest secret right now is how much debt he truly has from the use of his magic. Let’s just say he doesn’t expect to be going to a nice place when he dies. 

8. Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?

Stephen does have enemies. There’s dormammu, the ruler of the dark dimension. His goal in life is to destroy worlds in an instant, and claim them for his own dimension. Then there’s Mordo, a former sorcerer turned rouge. Finally, we have Thanos...which I don’t think I have to explain why he’s Stephen’s enemy. 

13. What does it take to make your character cry?

The best way to make Stephen cry, is if you mention his past transgressions. His sister drowning, people dying because of him...etc. Or you could hurt the people he loves. That could do it...but then he’d be mad. Vengeance is sweet for the sorcerer supreme.

Certainly a lot more than I used to, because of Hope. Still not the biggest fan of it though.

Have you ever read JLA obsidian age by Joe Kelly before? If so, would you know where to read it on that's free?

No, I haven’t actually. And not sure? I read all of my dc comics on dc universe or comiXology and I pay for those.

Do any of my followers have any suggestions?

♧ Any part of their canon portrayal you dislike?

( Gotham Spoilers ) I think my biggest issue wasn’t with her portrayal, but rather the way she was written off the show. They had such potential with her character, they even brought her back from the dead with a bad ass power that could have added SO MUCH drama to the story, but nah. They threw her in the trash like she was a footnote in someone else’s story and I hate that. But otherwise, I loved her portrayal. She just deserved better (ง'̀-‘́)ง
