Donald finally talked himself into going on his work’s specialised training, it would take the weekend but it could mean earning more money so with a heavy heart and no small amount of panic he called up Gladstone. He had given his cousin a books worth of instructions, five different numbers he could call in case of an emergancy, and the promise that he would come straight home if anything was wrong.

Even as he was being ushered out the door he was saying,

“And make sure their formula is smooth! If it get’s stuck Huey gets angry and bites through the rubber in the bottle-”

“He only has two teeth?”

“And Dewey has a really sensitive stomach so don’t give him seconds, he’s not hungry and it will only make him sick-”

“No seconds?!”

“And Louie has to have-”

“Relax Donaldo, I’ve got this! They’re babies, all they do is sleep, poop, cry and eat, and with my luck, everything will be fine.”

Donald came home and the houseboat was a mess and the kids weren’t dressed and Gladstone looked exhausted.

“Was Huey up all night?”

“No they slept all night.”

“Was Louie crying a lot?”

“They haven’t cried once.”

“Did Dewey try to crawl overboard again?!”

“What?! No! You didn’t say that could happen! They’ve been happy to play in their pens the whole time.”

“So what’s wrong?”

“You gotta find another babysitter D. Kids are too much like work.”

“You didn’t even do anything!”
