Update on Oscar (and baby Oscar throwback photo to 2013)! Oscar is doing great in the hospital at UC Davis and is making small, gradual progress each day. Slow and steady wins the race after all! He is continuing to defecate small amounts on his own and his feces is looking like more hydrated hay matter which is great as it indicates his GI system is starting to get going again. They are still hydrating him orally but have stopped sub-q fluids. He continues to receive antibiotics, daily enemas (which he’s not happy about) and warm soaks along with plenty of exercise around the hospital. His blood work continues to look better each time they run lab work, though all levels are not back to normal where they should be yet. We are crossing our fingers he’ll get to come home soon! Thank you for all of your love, support, encouragement and donations to his $6500 hostpital bill. We are auctioning off a beautiful acrylic photo of him in our silent auction to help cover the cost!
