story time about my great grandmother bessie. so, next to her is a grave to a man with the same last name as her, you would assume her husband.
actually, she told everyone not to bury her near her husband because they fought so much, she didn’t want to deal with him in the after life. so, he is buried across the cemetery. so who is this guy buried next to her?
her husband’s brother who was in love with her. everybody knew that he wanted to be with her. he bought the plot next to hers so that he could be buried beside her.
fucking bonkers, right? strolling the cemetery with my dad while he tells me about all of my deceased relatives drama is such a fun past time.
my great grandmother had a stillborn baby and i think his headstone is beautiful. i learned about him when i was researching my family tree.
