Nicht dein Grab hat mich gebrochen – sondern der Moment, in dem ich verstand, dass uns keine gemeinsame Zeit mehr bleibt.
Been sitting on this for a minute.
I really was hoping they would not go down the Master Raymond taking Faith and bringing her to life route. I saw so as a stillborn mother.
Faith was representation for this harsh reality many have to face daily.
Faith brought stillborn babies into the conversation. Brought them into the reality for others blessed to not experience it themselves or close to them.
By having her live takes a piece of that from us. Taking her and having her miraculously live by the hands of the "blue magic healing" is unfair in a way to those of us who saw ourselves in Claire and Jamie with their loss of Faith.
I wish the show runners, writers, directors, etc understood that a baby dying late term/full term is not a story progression piece nor character development for the parent. It is real. It is ugly. It is painful beyond measure.
It is to be respected.
Same honestly goes for them taking in Fannie. It gives this notion (for myself at least) like they take her in purely because she is supposedly their granddaughter. I know they would have without that possibility but the vibes changed after she sang the song ya know

“Four babies died” - Duluth, Minnesota
Monument for four baby boys born to George and Anna Washington in Duluth, Minnesota. They’re buried in Oneota Cemetery.
Their first baby was a son who was stillborn on December 16, 1918.
Their second son, George, was born on October 14, 1921 and died two days later on October 16, possibly due to a congenital heart defect.
Their third son was stillborn on January 4, 1923.
Their fourth son, George, was born on April 16, 1924 and died on April 19 (his birth date is listed on the stone instead of his death date).
Sadly and notably, George Sr. died on what would have been George’s first birthday, when he was just 43 years old.
George and Anna did have one surviving child, a daughter Lorraine who was born in 1920 and lived to the age of 94.
Been feeling very oc inspired by a handful of funky medias lately (mama's sleeping angels and trigun etc yay) and forced myself to draw a proper illustration since it's been so long; starring Nieve
