My personal headcanon is that Ash and Eiji would never have kids on their own, but they would take care of Eiji's sister's kid. They would be the best uncles in the world. When his sister isn't looking, Eiji would give them treats and chocolates. When Ash is babysiting the kid, he'd teach them basic English. Ash and Eiji would take them out when his sister is busy and needs a babysiter.
While teaching English, Ash would ask them to point something that's in the color he says. Once he says yellow, the kid would point at his hair and yell YELLOW! YELLOW! Him and Eiji would burst out laughing, and try to help him say blond but the kid just kept calling it yellow and I can't do this it's so cute 🥺
