So full disclosure, the story updates are so slow atm that whenever they do actually come out, I just skip them. I intend to read the whole chapter when it’s actually done and not at this piecemeal pace-- so if the chapter talks about this witch, I have no idea of any of it.

But wow, this witch feels really fucked up in a good way, and I love how uncomfortable it makes me feel. First off-- the design, from the art to the sound is really topnotch. It has a “babysitter’s pedestal” (which also looks like an abortion tool), sticking straight through it with questionable white mass dripping off of it-- but it also sort of looks like a child’s toy. Like, a sort of baby’s maraca or something. The minions themselves look REALLY like children toys: they’re so colorful and full of different looking-shapes. They even sort of bounce like a toy might.

Then you’ve got this description, and I love how it’s really at odds with itself. This Witch feels compelled to seek out “babies” and hold them close, but it also hates them and doesn’t care if it kills them. It’s going to do this for eternity-- its very existence now is bound to a thing that it hates. I mean, just think about that for a second-- think about something you really, really hate, that makes you miserable, and now, the entire rest of your (un)life is going to be defined by that very thing.

Then there are questions about the magical girl who birthed this witch. What happened here? Was she pregnant? ...How young was she? The more you think about it, the more uncomfortable it gets. 

And then you wonder what her wish was. I feel like witches the magical girls become are more defined by the curse they make upon their death than the wish they make in the beginning, but there can be some overlap. How does the wish factor into this? 

I dunno. Like I said earlier, this quickly becomes a dark and uncomfortable topic, and I think it’s actually really well done. It provides just enough information to make you connect the dots but then leaves enough out for your mind to be filled with sad ideas.

An amazing qpr huntlow fic based off one of my drawings!

Redrawing an old comic based on those little messages on teabags! The first is from a couple days ago (2026) and the second is from late 2023 or early 2024. I also included the un-colored version!

I actually think I like the lighting better in the second one, but I am glad I learned how to draw consistently sized things and not make the teakettle roam around the table like there's an earthquake. Some changes also had to be made because I'm drawing in a completely different way--for the newest one, I drew it with my finger which makes things like the brush variation behave in a totally different way. Anyway, this was really fun to do, enjoy!

This drawing was made about a year ago while my hand issues were way worse (I hadn't learned how to draw with my finger yet) and I'd just watched Over the Garden Wall, which I think are both pretty apparent.
