An Enthusiastic Buddy

This year, I would like to seek guidance from mentors and also share what I learn with others. During my externship at ICON Architecture, I have realized how much you can grow when you have someone willing to explain, guide, and encourage you. I feel ready to commit to this because I’ve seen the difference it makes, and I want to keep learning while also helping my classmates or peers who might have the same questions I once had.

Supportive Buddies

This year I will commit to the mentorship action of knowing what I know and being open to what I don't know. It is important to be open to learning from others. I am volunteering as a TA for the BAC NOMAS and Sasaki Foundation and will use this ideas to create a better environment for students to learn.

Sublime Buddies

I was fortunate to have known all of my teammates before the Connex, but this experience has made me appreciate them even more. We make a fantastic team, with each of us bringing our unique style and experiences to the table.

I admire many qualities in my teammates. Ellie's drive and determination are impressive, as she is always trying to improve or acquire new skills. Matheus is caring and compassionate, open to teaching and learning. Anthony has a real talent for the arts, and I loved seeing sketch. These are a few of the qualities my teammates possess. We all share a desire to learn and grow, to see things from different points, and to have fun while still taking our work seriously.

Overall, it has been an amazing experience working with such a wonderful group of people.

I am committed to continually learning and improving my skills to make a positive impact both within my studies and workplace, as well as outside of them. I’m hoping to remain in contact with my mentors and actively search for opportunities like this one, to develop myself as a student, designer, and person.
