Yo just a wee thing I gotta ask, just a leetle courtesy:
If you're gonna call a character 'overrated', maybe don't put that in the character's tag? Thanks, have a swell day!

When people asserted that Tsumugi was some 'self-insert for Kodaka' I just found that hilarious. Not least because 'Kokichi' literally has one of the kanji from 'Kodaka', but mainly that the boy has so much troll energy Tsumugi just comes out like a wet fart in comparison
Looming possibility of a scary thing being true, a mixture of facts and fiction - aka lies - and you decide what’s really going on based on how you contextualise that mess... dang, say it’s V3 without saying it’s V3, huh??
The way I always saw it, Kokichi was the way he was because his Flashback Light-instilled talent allowed him to be able to tell whenever anyone was lying, even if they didn’t know they were. Except that when it came to backstories, he could tell that everyone was lying from the get-go, even himself. Hence why he was so-much more suspicious of the Flashback lights.
That's fair Anon, I just cannot believe that the Flashback Lights were capable of instilling talents that they didn't already have, due to the known mechanics about the Lights not encompassing this (and Tsumugi not giving a clear explanation- explanations she did give came with contradictions more than once). Ouma's behaviour around the Flashback Lights is somewhat mixed as well- he appears to egg them on, though to begin with he said he was 'worried about side effects' - though this can also be read as reverse psychology, it's hard to know what the situation would have been like if they didn't go through with the Flashback Lights (the first time they got identifiably sketchy was with the fake HPA history Light, but before then... may have been vital information about their situation).
Leaving aside the validity of Flashback Light memories though, Ouma having knowledge of the 'Lights being weird' always seemed to me like the tip of the iceberg- if he came upon this intrinsically, as opposed to during investigation, then it's reasonable that he has other things weird with his situation, and that these things stack. As in- if he has a gift that allows him to suspect false realities, and that besides Rantaro he's the only one, there could be something special about that in a game where (almost) no one believes him, and given the supernatural nature of such a gift (supported by the prediction shenanigans in Chapter 5), the academy itself may have some agenda with him and his talent. Factoring in those ways he tends to shut down when distressed, he could have had a traumatic situation caused by the organisation involved with the academy.
That's how I rationalise it when questioning Tsumugi's narrative of the Flashback Lights anyway- that being, if Ultimate talent is this much a point of contention, then there may very well be in-universe consequences for that being glossed over if it turned out to be real.
(didn't notice it mentioned anywhere on this blog sooooo) The "E" in DICE logo looks supiciously similiar to Kaede's lab door. So "E" actually might be piano keys.
I remember this one! The funny thing about this is that Ouma was talking to Kaede like she would be a covert agent for him (in helping him get around secretly), and that particular graphic is very recognisable. Add that with his story of Kaede aiding his escape - before things apparently... went south - it's very curious as to what connection Kaede may have had to this situation, with DICE as well
OK can I make a small request? And I don’t mean to be rude, but please do not @ others to my blog unless they want to be included in the discussion. It puts me on the spot and is very awkward- if they want to talk to me about a post, they can do so themselves (Anon is open after all) rather than being dragged in for all I know is against their will. Thank you
Well, I mean-
-something is different with Toko, all right...
