Sharing fantasy content right now feels uncomfortable.

This blog has never covered anything IRL or outside Borderlands, it’s pure escapism content based on a small fandom. Right now however, feels like both a very shitty time for escapism, and yet also probably a time people.. want it? I want to remain escapism content, but ignoring what’s going on at the moment and pretending everything is fine is beyond inappropriate. I don’t have a massive platform, but I still have one.  It’s hard to feel like you can “help” if you aren’t in America and can’t make a donation, but you can by talking to your peers, your relatives, people who aren’t seeing the reality of what is going on, who might be extremely misinformed.

https://ca.gofundme.com/f/gianna-floyd-daughter-of-george-floyd-fund for folks in a situation where donating is a possibility, and point out that there are such simple ways to help raise funding like just leaving ad-block disabled, and playing videos in muted tabs on loop like:

- filled with art and music from black creators. It has a lot of ads which will make the money, and it will be donated to BLM.  Been thinking about it for a few days, and I’m going to continue posting escapism content here, both for my own mental health ( this blog has helped so much with being on indoor quarantine since *Feb* ), and because maybe my stupid fandom shit might also help the odd other person who’s run-down from a day of facing the absolute horrors of reality right now, and wants to read cringe and go brain empty mode. Black Lives Matter, everywhere. Worldwide.
