📸 • @wantingwanderlust It's hard not to feel a sense of total bliss after you've hiked up a 2km steep climb and sat on top of a huge rock with the one you love. • Ella rock reminded us about a passion we'd almost forgotten. Hiking! We climb and trekked for miles during the first part of our trip but recently we've been enjoying the chilled vibes on beaches 🏝 • I'd be lying if I said that hiking up Ella rock was easy!! The path was difficult to follow and the locals kept trying to send us the wrong way (so they could later redirect us for a price 😉). After a few hours scrambling around we finally ascended onto the peak of this rock and could see for miles and miles in every direction. The reward at the end of a hike can be so addictive. • What are you passions in life? We are 25. We have worked our asses off the past three years to make and uphold Routed. We have given up (momentarily, mentally, financially and physically) so many times these past few years and do not even get me started on how many times we have thought that our previous "comfortable" jobs were so much better. There have been days when we have gotten so tired that even our bodies have refused to fall asleep and then there have been worse days that you would rather not know about. BUT Everytime we sit down to plan an itinerary, or go back to reviews or photos from trips, or even talk about anecdotes from our journey's, we are reassured we are in the right place. Yesterday, as we caught the millionth sunset of our lives and had one of our "conversations" we realized how much we had grown up since Routed started. We realized how much we had endured (personally and professionally, individually and together), how much we had battled. As the wind blew the sand onto our faces and between our teeth's, we felt the universe patting our backs. Years later, when we are older and these teeth have knocked down and our bodies are frail, at least we won't have regrets of not living through our dream.
