(Primarily Phoenix) If you could go back and arrive early enough to save Mia, but Maya wouldn't become your assistant and you two would never have the adventures that would lead to you falling in love, would you do it?
Iām going to answer this, and only because I know what Nick would say. He would say yes, heād do it for me, because he wouldnāt want me to lose my sister, even if it meant that heĀ couldnāt be with me. Heād sacrifice his happiness for mine.
But... to be honest, I donāt like thinking aboutĀ āwhat ifsā. Losing my sister was hard, yes, but whatās done is done.Ā The fact is, Nick didnāt get there in time to help Mia, no one did. It was sad and of course I grieved for her, but you know what? My life now is great. I love Nick, I love Pearly and Trucy, and Mr. Edgeworth and Detective Gumshoe, and Larry. I wouldnāt have known any of them if not for my sisterās death.
Itās really a hard question to answer because of courseĀ I want my sister back, but thatās not possible. I have all these amazing friends now, and the love of my life, and two girls I consider daughters. So why think about what if? I just want to think about and be thankful for what is.

Sisterly Bonding (closed with @backstabbinspy)

Mia was excited. More than excited, actually. She was ecstatic. Due to conflicting schedules and how busy her sister was, the teenager rarely got to see Trucy Gramarye anymore. The two, at one point, had seen each other much more frequently. However, Trucyās career had taken off and all of a sudden she was never available anymore.Ā A couple of weeks prior to the current moment, Mia had texted her sister to catch up and found out that they would be in town over the same week and they had agreed to spend the day together.
Mia woke that morning with excitement bubbling in her chest. Instead of dressing in her normal acolyte attire, she put on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt that displayed theĀ āSteel Samuraiā logo, and a faux-leather jacket over the shirt. Then she put on a pair of boots and her magatama, and descended the stairs into the kitchen where her mother and younger brother sat at the kitchen table, eating their breakfast.
āMorning, Mom. Morning, Marshall,ā Mia greeted as she walked over to the fridge and opened it, pulling out a cup of yogurt. Grabbing a spoon and peeling the lid back, Mia took a bite of the yogurt before speaking again. āDid Papa leave for work already?ā
āYeah, Daddy left already,ā 10-year-old Marshall piped up, some of his oatmeal falling out of his mouth.
āMarshall, sweetie, donāt speak with food in your mouth,ā Maya said calmly. Marshall muttered an apology before continuing to eat his breakfast.Ā āYou look nice, Mia. Are you going somewhere today?ā Maya asked, turning her attention to her daughter.
āYeah, Trucy is in town so sheās coming to get me and weāre going to spend the day together,ā As Mia said this, there was a knock on the door.Ā āOh, sheās early!ā
Dear Backstabbinspy,
Even a detective cannot predict if one of their colleagues intends to betray them and kill them in cold blood.

Dear Mia,
I should think that you of all people would know not to trust everything you read.Ā I might be old, but that doesnāt mean Iāve become senile.
